Discord Voice AFK Rewards for Minecraft

VC Afk Rewards is a Discord voice AFK rewards plugin for Minecraft Spigot and Paper servers.

Players can link their Minecraft account to Discord and earn configurable rewards while connected to a configured Discord AFK voice channel.

The plugin is designed for Minecraft servers that want to connect their Discord community with their Minecraft reward system while keeping rewards, milestones, permissions, notifications, account linking, and AFK rules configurable.

How It Works

1. Install VC Afk Rewards on your Spigot or Paper server.
2. Create a Discord bot for your server.
3. Configure the Discord bot token in the plugin configuration.
4. Set the Discord AFK voice channel.
5. Configure your reward interval and reward amount.
6. Configure reward commands, milestones, permissions, and notifications.
7. Link your Minecraft account using /link \<mc-name>.
8. Join the configured Discord AFK voice channel.
9. The plugin detects your Discord AFK session.
10. Your Minecraft player must be online for AFK time to accumulate.
11. You can remain completely still in Minecraft while earning rewards.
12. Leaving the Discord AFK voice channel pauses the AFK session.
13. Rejoining the AFK voice channel continues the accumulated session.
14. Rewards are processed when the configured reward interval is reached.
15. Offline rewards can be stored as pending rewards.
16. Pending rewards can be processed automatically when the player joins Minecraft.

Account Linking

VC Afk Rewards uses Minecraft UUIDs and Discord IDs to manage account links.

Player Commands

• /link \<mc-name> - Link your Discord account to a Minecraft account.
• /unlink - Remove your current account link.

Administrator Commands

• /adminlink - Create an account link for a player.
• /adminunlink - Remove an account link.

The plugin prevents conflicting account links and is designed so that one Minecraft account cannot simply be silently reassigned to another Discord account.

AFK Reward System

Server owners can configure how frequently players receive AFK rewards.

Rewards can use console commands supported by the server.

Example reward commands:

• points give {player} 10
• eco give {player} 500
• crate give {player} Vote 1
• give {player} diamond 1

Multiple commands can be configured for a single reward interval.

Supported reward placeholders:

• {player} - Minecraft username
• {uuid} - Minecraft UUID
• {discord} - Discord ID
• {minutes} - AFK minutes

⭐ Permission-Based Rewards

Servers can configure different AFK rewards for different Minecraft permission ranks.

Example ranks:

• power
• example
• legend

Each rank can have its own reward interval, points, and console commands.

The plugin uses the standard Bukkit permission system and can work alongside permission plugins such as LuckPerms.

Milestone Rewards

Server owners can configure one-time rewards for reaching specific AFK milestones.

Example milestones:

• 60 minutes
• 600 minutes
• 3000 minutes

Milestones can execute configurable console commands.

If the player is offline when a milestone is reached, the reward can be stored as a pending reward.

Pending Rewards

Rewards do not have to be lost when a Minecraft player is offline.

When a reward or milestone cannot be delivered immediately, the configured command can be stored as a pending reward.

When the player joins the Minecraft server, pending rewards can be processed automatically.

Pending rewards can be used for:

• Economy rewards
• Crate keys
• Minecraft items
• Milestone rewards
• Custom server rewards
• Other console-based rewards

⏱️ AFK Session System

The AFK session system is designed to pause and resume.

When a player joins the AFK voice channel:

The plugin starts a new AFK session or resumes the player's previously accumulated session.

When a player leaves the AFK voice channel:

The current AFK session is paused and the accumulated time is preserved.

When the player rejoins:

The previously accumulated session continues.

The Minecraft player must be online for AFK time and rewards to accumulate.

Players do not need to move or actively play Minecraft while the AFK session is active.

Discord Notifications

VC Afk Rewards can send configurable Discord notifications for AFK activity.

AFK Join Notification

• Mentions the Discord user
• Shows the configured server name
• Shows the configured currency name
• Shows the reward amount
• Shows the reward interval
• Shows that the AFK session has started

AFK Leave Notification

• Mentions the Discord user
• Shows that the player left the AFK voice channel
• Shows that AFK rewards have been paused

Additional Notifications

• Reward notifications

Notifications can be enabled or disabled through the configuration.

VC Afk Rewards includes configurable protection against common AFK reward abuse.

Protection options include:

Minecraft Commands

• /afk - Opens the AFK rewards GUI.
• /afkhelp - Displays AFK system help and available Minecraft commands.

Discord Commands

• /link \<mc-name> - Links a Discord account to a Minecraft account.
• /unlink - Removes the current Discord-to-Minecraft link.
• /points - Displays the player's current points.
• /afkleaderboard - Displays the AFK leaderboard.
• /help - Displays available plugin commands.
• /adminlink - Allows an authorized administrator to create an account link.
• /adminunlink - Allows an authorized administrator to remove an account link.

Permissions

Minecraft administration permission:

vcafk.admin

This permission is used for authorized Minecraft administration features.

Discord administration is controlled through Discord server ownership or Discord Administrator permissions.

PlaceholderAPI

PlaceholderAPI support can be enabled for servers that want to display AFK information in compatible plugins.

Available placeholders:

Data Storage

Player information is stored locally using YAML files.

Discord Bot

The Discord bot is configured by the server owner.

Each server can configure its own Discord bot token.

The plugin does not require a developer-owned master bot token.

The bot listens for Discord voice-state changes and the Discord commands required by the plugin.

Important: The bot does not join or connect to a voice channel.
