Frameify
Turn any image URL into a map made of item frames. It handles scaling and placement for you, and since it bakes into vanilla map files, the result works…
⬇ Download on ModrinthFrameify
Frameify turns any image into a multiblock map you can hang on a wall of item frames, from a single 1x1 map up to a configurable 64x64 grid. The pixel data is baked directly into the vanilla map_.dat files, so your maps keep working even if you remove the plugin or move the world to another server. Frameify is only needed to CREATE the maps and to view animated maps (GIFs), if frameify is not present, gifs will be static.
Load an image straight from a URL (direct links, Discord CDN and klipy-style links with query strings all work), and it is downloaded, scaled, dithered and split across the right number of item frames automatically.
Features
- Static and animated support: PNG, JPG, BMP, GIF (animated) and WebP (animated).
- Baked into vanilla map data, so maps survive plugin removal and world moves.
- Scale modes: fit (letterbox), stretch, or crop.
- Floyd-Steinberg dithering for smooth gradients
- Invisible item frames
- Live download progress bar in your action bar.
- Aspect-ratio calculator that can export a gridline preview or layout diagram.
- Clickable in-game management dialog to manage maps
- Animations only render while a player is viewing them.
Commands
Alias:
/fmap
/frameify create <name> <url> <width> <height> [scale=fit|stretch|crop] [dither=true|false] [deliver=individual|fill|none]
Download an image and bake it onto a width x height grid of item frames. deliver=individual gives you the tiles (default), fill auto-places them on the wall you are looking at, none just bakes without handing anything out.
/frameify get <name> [individual|fill]
Receive an existing map: as items, or fill to auto-place it on a wall.
/frameify place <name>
Auto-fill the wall of item frames you are looking at (top-left = the frame you target).
/frameify calc <url> [export]
Download an image and show its size, aspect ratio and closest grid sizes. With an export name, save a gridline preview PNG (the real image with frame lines) to the server's desktop.
/frameify calc <width> <height> [export]
Aspect ratio and closest buildable grid sizes for a grid. With an export name, save a labelled layout diagram.
/frameify if [amount]
Get invisible item frames (they place invisibly, so only the map shows).
/frameify manage
Open the management dialog. Also: manage list, and manage delete .
/frameify reload
Reload config.toml.

frameify.create, frameify.get, frameify.place, frameify.calc, frameify.invisibleframe, frameify.manage, frameify.delete, frameify.admin
