Minecraft Cast Aways

A NEW KIND OF FISHING MINIGAME

Cast Aways turns Minecraft fishing into a fast-paced competitive minigame where players race to catch moving treasure.

Contestants take their places along the water while treasure travels across three different lanes. Every cast is a decision: grab an easy target nearby or go after something more valuable before another player beats you to it.

When time runs out, the contestant with the highest score wins.

THREE LANES. MOVING TARGETS. CONSTANT ACTION.

Treasure continuously moves through:

NEAR • MIDDLE • FAR

Targets can travel in either direction and new treasure continues appearing throughout the round.

You'll encounter different treasures with different values, including:

• Coins
• Bags
• Chests
• Emerald Crates
• Diamond Chests

The most valuable target isn't always the smartest catch. While you're trying to land something rare, another contestant may be collecting everything else!

DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS? ADD AI.

With the optional AINPCCore integration, Cast Aways can fill unused contestant positions with AI players.

That means you can play with:

• All human players
• One player against AI
• Groups of players with AI filling empty positions
• AI-only demonstrations

AI contestants aren't just decorative NPCs. They participate in the game, use fishing rods, select targets, catch treasure, and compete for points.

Player statistics and leaderboards add longer-term competition beyond individual matches, tracking categories including wins, scores, treasure, rare treasure, streaks, and more.

WATCH THE GAME, TOO

Dedicated spectator support allows other players to watch matches without interfering with contestants.

Servers can also create simple join signs, making Cast Aways easy to integrate into a minigame lobby, theme park, arcade, or survival world.

ATTRACT MODE

Have a beautifully built minigame arena sitting empty?

With AINPCCore installed, optional Attract Mode can bring idle arenas to life with AI contestants demonstrating Cast Aways.

Nearby players can see the game in action before deciding to join.

When it's time for a real game, human players take priority.

OPTIONAL MUSIC & AUDIO

Install MediaManager to expand the presentation with synchronized game music and audio.

Cast Aways supports audio for important moments throughout a match, including countdowns, gameplay, treasure catches, the final countdown, time-up, and the winner.

MediaManager is optional and is not required for the core minigame.
