Your Server Has a History. Give It a Place to Live.
Minecraft servers create thousands of stories.
- The player who was there on day one.
- The person who built the first community landmark.
- The player who finally defeated the Ender Dragon.
- The staff member who rose through the ranks.
- The friend who helped you survive your first night.
- The player who quietly became a millionaire.
Legacy turns those moments into a permanent player history.
Instead of being another statistics plugin that records every block broken, every mob killed, and every transaction, Legacy focuses on the things players might actually want to remember years from now.
A Biography for Every Player
Legacy creates a permanent, chronological history for every player on your server.
It can record:
Achievements
Milestones
Player Memories
⭐ Staff Recognitions
Prestige
Open:
/legacy
and players can browse their history through a clean, organized GUI.
Want to see someone else's?
/legacy PlayerName
Players can browse other players' public histories too.
Achievements
Legacy can automatically turn Minecraft advancements into permanent Legacy entries.
The supplied configuration contains 116 of the game's 126 non-recipe vanilla advancements, including the complete:
- Minecraft / Story tab
- Nether tab
- The End tab
Every configured advancement can have its own:
- Title
- Description
- Advancement ID
So instead of an advancement disappearing into Minecraft's advancement screen, it can become part of a player's permanent history.
Milestones
Legacy also records important events that aren't Minecraft advancements.
Built-in milestones include:
First Join
Every player can receive a permanent:
Joined the Server
entry.
Only once.
Ender Dragon
When the Ender Dragon is defeated, Legacy can record the event for nearby participating players.
The participation radius is configurable.
Economy
With Vault enabled, players can receive milestones for reaching configurable balances.
For example:
$1,000
$10,000
$100,000
$1,000,000
$10,000,000
And you can customize the titles.
Ranks
With LuckPerms enabled, Legacy can record rank progression.
For example:
VIP
Moderator
Administrator
A player's history can retain multiple ranks they've earned over time, rather than simply showing their current rank.
Land
With GriefPrevention enabled, Legacy can record:
- First claim
- Claim-count milestones
3 claims
10 claims
25 claims
Skills
With AuraSkills enabled, configurable skill-level milestones can be recorded.
For example:
Level 10
Level 25
Level 50
Level 75
Level 100
Voting
With VotingPlugin enabled, Legacy can record configurable vote milestones.
For example:
1 vote
10 votes
50 votes
100 votes
500 votes
1,000 votes
Player Memories
This is where Legacy becomes more than a statistics plugin.
Players can write memories about other players.
For example:
/legacy memory Alex Alex helped me build my first house when I joined the server.
The memory does not immediately become public.
Instead:
1. The memory enters the recipient's private queue.
2. The recipient reviews it.
/legacy pending
3. They approve or decline it.
An approved memory becomes a permanent part of their Legacy.
A declined memory remains private.
The recipient always controls what becomes part of their public history.
Staff Recognitions
Staff have a separate recognition system for official awards.
Example:
/legacy recognize Alex "Community Leader" "Recognized for outstanding contributions to the server community."
Unlike player memories, staff recognitions are:
- Instant
- Public
- Staff-controlled
- Permanently recorded
⭐ Prestige
Legacy also includes a separate Prestige system.
Prestige is intentionally different from the permanent Legacy journal.
A milestone says:
"This happened."
Prestige says:
"This player's current standing is X."
Staff can increase or decrease Prestige:
/legacy prestige give PlayerName 10
/legacy prestige take PlayerName 5
Prestige can never fall below zero.
Players can check Prestige:
/legacy prestige check
or:
/legacy prestige check PlayerName
Prestige Milestones
Prestige thresholds can automatically trigger console commands.
For example:
prestige:
milestones:
- threshold: 10
command: "..."
- threshold: 25
command: "..."
- threshold: 50
command: "..."
- threshold: 100
command: "..."
This makes Prestige useful for automated progression systems.
For example:
10 Prestige → Member
25 Prestige → Trusted
50 Prestige → Veteran
100 Prestige → Elite
The actual commands and rewards are entirely configurable.
And importantly, thresholds aren't skipped.
If a player jumps from 5 Prestige directly to 30, the 10 and 25 thresholds still fire.
Integrates With Your Existing Server
Legacy is designed to complement your server rather than replace your existing plugins.
Current integrations include:
Vault
Economy milestones.
LuckPerms
Rank/group progression.
GriefPrevention
Claims and claim-count milestones.
AuraSkills
Skill-level milestones.
VotingPlugin
Vote-count milestones.
PlaceholderAPI
Prestige placeholders for use by other plugins.
Every integration is optional.
Legacy does not require these plugins to function.
No Vault?
No problem.
No LuckPerms?
No problem.
No voting plugin?
Still works.
Legacy simply disables the unavailable integration and continues running normally.
⚡ Built for Large Histories
Legacy is designed around the idea that a player's history should remain useful even after months or years.
The database system uses SQLite with versioned migrations.
Database access is asynchronous, keeping disk/database work away from the main server thread.
The plugin also uses in-memory caches for frequently checked milestone and Prestige data.
The GUI uses grouped database queries rather than repeatedly querying each section independently.
In other words:
A permanent history doesn't have to mean a performance nightmare.
Four Clean Categories
The main Legacy interface separates a player's history into four sections:
Achievements
Minecraft advancement-based entries.
Milestones
Automatic server milestones and other system-generated events.
Memories
Player-written memories.
Recognitions
Official staff recognition.
Each section displays its current entry count and opens into its own paginated view.
️ Privacy & Control
Legacy distinguishes between:
Public entries
Visible when viewing a player's Legacy.
Pending memories
Private until the recipient approves them.
Staff actions
Protected by permissions.
Players can also remove memories they've previously approved.
Staff with the appropriate permission can remove entries administratively, with administrative removal being logged.
Completely Configurable
Legacy's configuration lets you control:
- Database location
- Time zone
- Memory length
- Memory cooldown
- Staff access to pending memories
- Advancement tracking
- Ender Dragon participation radius
- Integration activation
- Economy thresholds
- Rank milestones
- Claim milestones
- Skill milestones
- Vote milestones
- Automatic commands
- Prestige thresholds
- Custom milestones
Developer API
Legacy isn't limited to the integrations included with the plugin.
Other plugins can record milestones directly:
LegacyAPI.recordMilestone(
player,
"myplugin.legendary_quest",
"Completed the Legendary Quest",
"Finished the Legendary Quest."
);
The API automatically handles duplicate protection.
This means your own server plugins can feed meaningful events into the same permanent Legacy system without needing a custom integration inside Legacy itself.
PlaceholderAPI Support
When PlaceholderAPI is installed, Legacy provides:
%legacyprestige_self%
and:
%legacyprestige_<player>%
This makes Prestige available to compatible scoreboard, leaderboard, tablist, hologram, and other plugins.
Not Another Statistics Plugin
Legacy deliberately does not try to record everything.
It doesn't care how many blocks you mined yesterday.
It doesn't need to know how many zombies you killed last Tuesday.
It isn't a spreadsheet disguised as a Minecraft plugin.
Legacy asks a different question:
"Would this be something worth remembering?"
Your server already generates the stories.
Legacy gives those stories a permanent home.
✨ Legacy
A permanent record of the journey.
Your players spend months — sometimes years — building a history on your server.
Make that history mean something.
