This mod is a small content mod that adds the following:
- The Hooklash, a grappling hook-like item inspired by the Whiplash arm from hit game ULTRAKILL.
- The Green Hook Point, a special block that you can grapple onto! Hitting it with your hooklash's tip will cause you to move towards it! (you can cancel this by pressing left shift to stop going towards the block.)
- The Blue Hook Point, another special block that you can grapple onto! Grappling onto it grants you slow falling, unless you're holding a mace! (for some really evil combos..)
- The Red Hook Point, another block that your hooklash can interact with! however, this one does not pull you towards it, instead, once hooked onto, it emits a redstone pulse for a duration!
How does the hooklash work?
Put simply: Light things go towards you; You go towards heavy things.
What this means is that most entities in the game (Zombies, Skeletons, etc.) will be pulled towards you when hit with the hooklash, and heavy entities (Players, Iron golems, Wardens) will cause you to be pulled towards them when you hit them! This also opens up possibilities for spear combos on heavy entities!
You can also reel in dropped items with the hooklash!
Below is a short showcase video of how these mechanics work in practice!
