Shift right click on a button or lever with the remote to connect it.
A menu will come up asking to rename the remote.
Then just right click with the remote in hand and the button/lever with be triggered.
If you break the button/lever it will still be assigned to that block until you try to use it so if something unfortunate happens or you just decide to change your button to a lever or a different type of button you don't need to reconnect the remote.
