# CrashPanel **Custom commands, items, systems and screens for your server, drawn as node graphs instead of written as code.** You build them in the CrashPanel editor at [crashpanel.app](https://crashpanel.app), or install a pack somebody else made. This plugin runs them on your server. ## What it does - **Commands** with typed arguments: numbers, players, choices, free text. - **Items** with their own behaviour: right-click, attack, consume, equip, drop, and more. - **Systems** that react to the server: joins, chat, block breaks and places, damage, deaths, a timer. - **Screens**: chest screens players can click, built on the server's own inventories. - **Memory**: values per player, server, mob or block, kept across restarts. Leaderboards included. - **Live updates**: link the server once with a code, and saving in the editor updates the server. `/crashpanel reload` reloads every pack, no restart. ## Why A daily reward, a crate, a shop screen, a kill counter: things every server wants, usually done by learning Skript or paying for a custom plugin. With CrashPanel you draw them, and you can open and change any pack you install. ## Safe by design A pack is **data, not code**: the plugin interprets the graph, so a pack cannot run arbitrary Java. What a pack may do is limited by **capabilities** you grant in `plugins/CrashPanel/config.yml`. Console commands, teleports and game modes are refused by default. A broken pack fails alone: every other pack still loads, and nothing a pack does can stop the server. ## Requirements - **Paper** 1.21.4 to 1.21.10 (not Spigot: it uses Paper-only APIs). Folia is supported. - Java 21 or newer. ## What it costs This plugin is free and runs any CrashPanel pack, whoever made it. Making packs in the editor at crashpanel.app is free too. A paid plan may raise the limits around it (how many projects, hosted services such as Discord bots and databases, AI help), never what a pack can do on your server. ## Getting started 1. Put the jar in `plugins/` and start the server. 2. Make a project at crashpanel.app, then either download the pack and drop it in `plugins/`, or press "Connect server" and run `/crashpanel link ` on your server. 3. `/crashpanel list` shows what is loaded. ## Network and privacy Nothing is sent anywhere unless you link the server. There is no telemetry and no update check. When linked, the server fetches its projects from the panel over HTTPS and keeps one connection open per project. It sends a random server id, your MOTD (without colours), the plugin and Minecraft versions, and which optional plugins it has. ## How it was made The code was written with AI assistance.
