Tessera

Standalone Minecraft plugin (Paper/Purpur 1.21.x, Java 21+) for custom items, blocks, furniture, and HUD elements. No dependencies on other plugins.

Requirements: Java 21+, Paper or Purpur 1.21.x-26.x

Tessera builds a resource pack on server boot from whatever you define in config: item textures and custom model data, sounds, fonts, and glyphs. You don't hand-pack anything yourself.

• Resource pack is compiled and zipped automatically at startup, and can be rebuilt on demand with /tessera pack.
• Pack building and other heavy file I/O run off the main thread, so it doesn't stall the server while it works.
• Supports MiniMessage formatting, with some cleanup for common formatting quirks (non-italic tooltips, glyph spacing).

Items:

• Custom model data — assigned automatically or set manually per item.
• Stat modifiers: attack speed, health, movement, armor toughness.
• Click actions with cooldowns, mana costs, and particle effects.
• Tooltips with custom rarity colors and non-italic lore text.

Blocks:

• Built on note blocks or mushrooms under the hood, with configurable hardness, break sounds, drop tables, and tool requirements.

Furniture:

• Built from ItemDisplay and Interaction entities — includes seating and hitboxes sized to the model.
• State persists across restarts and chunk unloads.

• Custom icons and indicators registered as font glyphs (assets/minecraft/textures/font/).
• Health/mana/stamina bars via bossbar and actionbar.
• Negative-space glyphs let you position HUD elements anywhere on screen.

1. Drop Tessera.jar into plugins/.
2. Start the server (Java 21+, Paper/Purpur 1.21.x).
3. Tessera creates its config folders on first run: items/, blocks/, furniture/, glyphs/, hud/, and builds the pack at plugins/Tessera/pack/.
4. Send players the generated pack, or let the built-in sender handle it.
