I suck at PVP

Protect your inventory from accidental mistakes during PvP.

I suck at PVP is a client-side Fabric mod that silently prevents you from dropping important items, changing protected hotbar slots, or placing the wrong item in your offhand.

Invalid actions are simply cancelled. The mod does not send messages, warnings, or notifications.

Features

Opening the Configuration

The default control is Backspace.

The Master button controls the entire mod. Turning it off temporarily disables every protection without deleting your settings.

Use Save to store your changes and Done to close the menu.

Item IDs

Rules use Minecraft item IDs.

Examples:

Enter an item ID into the input field and use Add or Remove to edit the selected rule.

Multiple items can be assigned to the same hotbar slot or protection module.

Hotbar Protection

Every hotbar slot can be configured separately.

The nine item buttons represent your hotbar slots from left to right. Select one of them to edit its rules.

Use Slot: On/Off to enable or disable protection for the selected slot.

Whitelist Mode

Only items on the whitelist may be placed into the selected hotbar slot.

For example, if Slot 2 allows:

then only Respawn Anchors and Glowstone can be moved into Slot 2. Steak, weapons, blocks, and every other unlisted item will be rejected.

Blacklist Mode

Items on the blacklist cannot be placed into the selected slot. Every item not listed remains allowed.

Protected Actions

Hotbar Protection silently blocks invalid movements made through:

The rules only protect the configured hotbar destination. Items can still be moved normally elsewhere in your inventory.

Save Current Hotbar

Click Save Current Hotbar to convert your current hotbar layout into protected slot rules.

Each occupied hotbar slot is assigned its current item. This makes it easy to protect a complete PvP setup without entering every item manually.

Drop Prevention

Use Drop: On/Off to enable or disable protection against accidentally dropping items.

Drop Prevention covers the normal drop key and supported mouse-drop actions inside inventory screens.

Whitelist Mode

Items on the whitelist are protected and cannot be dropped. Every unlisted item can still be dropped normally.

For example, adding:

minecraft:totem_of_undying

protects your Totems from accidental drops while allowing other items to be dropped.

Blacklist Mode

Items on the blacklist are allowed to be dropped. Every item not listed is protected.

This mode is useful when you only want specific disposable items to remain droppable.

Offhand Protection

Use Offhand: On/Off to enable or disable protection for your offhand slot.

Whitelist Mode

Only listed items may enter your offhand.

For example, adding:

allows only Totems and Shields to be placed in your offhand.

Blacklist Mode

Listed items cannot enter your offhand. Every item not listed remains allowed.

Offhand Protection covers supported inventory movements and the normal offhand-swap key.

Silent Protection

Whenever an action violates one of your configured rules, it simply does not happen.

There are no chat messages, pop-ups, sounds, or warnings to distract you during PvP.
