Limited Mending

Limited Mending gives the Mending enchantment a configurable repair limit.

Each affected item receives a repair capacity measured in durability points. Every point of durability restored by Mending consumes one point of capacity. When the capacity is exhausted, Mending is removed from the item and any repair beyond the remaining capacity is prevented.

Items not listed in the configuration retain vanilla Mending behavior.

When two items with Mending are combined in an anvil, their remaining capacities are combined up to the configured maximum. Removing Mending with a grindstone clears the active repair capacity.
