Judaism Datapack Mod (26.3) – Follow Kosher Laws and Observe the Weekly Sabbath

Judaism Datapack Mod adds Jewish culture, traditions, and religious customs into Minecraft. You can find new trees like pomegranates and grapes, craft traditional clothing, and place sacred items such as the Hanukkah menorah and mezuzah. The mod also introduces a day-of-the-week schedule with Sabbath rules, kosher dietary systems, and unique village loans.

Features:

Traditional Items and Gear:

• Craft a Hanukkah menorah with gold and candles to emit light when lit with a torch or flint and steel.
• Place a mezuzah on your doorframe to push hostile mobs and incoming arrows back within a 7.5-block radius.
• Wear a kippah or Jewish top hat crafted from black wool for head protection.
• Equip tzitzit on your chest to gain bonus armor, armor toughness, and knockback resistance.
• Blow a shofar obtained from goats to play traditional horn sounds.
• Hold a siddur to read the Shema prayer.

Food and Agriculture:

• Pomegranate trees spawn in savanna biomes and drop edible pomegranates.
• Grape trees grow in flower forest and meadow biomes, providing harvestable grapes.
• Throwing grapes into water creates grape juice, which you can collect in buckets or bottles.
• Leaving grape juice buckets placed in the world for 30 in-game days turns the liquid into wine.
• Cook traditional holiday foods including Ozen Haman, Matza, Apple in honey, and Gefilte Fish.

Religious Systems and World Rules:

• Holding a clock displays the current weekday and hour on your screen.
• Sabbath begins every Friday at 19:00 and ends Saturday at 20:00, preventing players from breaking or placing blocks in survival mode.
• Drinking wine or grape juice during Sabbath completes the Kiddush ceremony to award bonus XP levels.
• Kosher eating rules penalize you with bad luck and poison for eating pork, rabbit, or mixing dairy and meat without waiting out the cooldown timers.
• Jewish villagers spawn in settlements and synagogues to offer 30-day emerald loans with interest.

How to Use:

1. Hold a clock in your main hand to track the day of the week and plan around the Sabbath.
2. Find grape and pomegranate trees in meadows and savannas to start gathering kosher food supplies.
3. Place a mezuzah on your house walls to create a protective barrier against monsters and arrows.
4. Perform Kiddush on Saturday by drinking grape juice or wine to gain free XP.
