Barehand Ascent Mod (1.21.1) – Climb and Slide Down Ropes with Your Bare Hands

Barehand Ascent Mod extends Create Aeronautics with an empty-hand climbing system for ropes. In the base mod, vertical ropes are difficult to use because gravity pulls you down and there is no native way to climb upward. This mod lets you grab onto vertical rope strands and plunger lines with empty hands to move up and down freely. It also adds smooth sliding controls, ledge mantling, and full multiplayer visual sync.

Features:

• Lets you grab onto near-vertical ropes and plunger lines by right-clicking with an empty hand.
• Climb up and down ropes using standard forward and backward movement keys.
• Slide downward quickly and smoothly by holding your sprint key while descending.
• Jump off at any time or mantle onto blocks placed at the top of the rope.
• Turning your camera rotates your character around the rope strand.
• Works cleanly on plunger ropes attached to moving airships and contraptions.
• Highlights the grab hitbox when looking at ropes with an empty hand.
• Synchronizes climbing animations across multiplayer servers so other players see your movement.

How to Use:

1. Look at a vertical rope or plunger rope with an empty main hand until it highlights.
2. Right-click the rope to grab on.
3. Press W to climb up or S to climb down.
4. Hold Ctrl + S to slide down the rope faster.
5. Press Space to jump off or pull yourself onto a ledge at the top.
6. Press Shift to let go of the rope immediately.
