Iron Link Locomotives Mod (26.2, 1.21.11) – Drive Working Steam Trains

Iron Link Locomotives Mod lets you connect multiple minecarts with chains to build controllable vanilla-style trains. It turns standard furnace minecarts into working steam locomotives that pull entire cart lines across your railway network. The mod adds simple lever controls for speed, direction, and braking, along with redstone-compatible signal rails for automated station stops.

Locomotive Controls:

• Red Lever: applies the brakes to slow down, park at stations, or stop before junctions.
• Navy Lever: switches train movement between forward and reverse.
• Black Lever: toggles between one-third throttle for precise moving and full throttle for high speed.

Signal Rail Functions:

• Right-click the rail to choose between Throttle, Brake, or Reverse modes.
• Redstone power activates the selected setting whenever any linked cart rolls over the rail.
• Cargo wagons and passenger seats can trigger the rail signals without needing the locomotive directly on the block.
• Works for automated yard switching, emergency stop sections, and station dispatch systems.

How to Use:

1. Place your minecarts in a line on any standard rail track.
2. Use chains to connect the carts into a linked train formation.
3. Place a furnace minecart at the front of the chain to serve as your locomotive.
4. Open the locomotive screen and fill it with fuel and water buckets.
5. Interact with the colored levers to set your direction, release the brake, and apply throttle.
6. Press A or D while riding in a cart to lean out and check track clearance.
