# Double Ender Chest

Chests merge into double chests. Ender chests never did, until now.
**Double Ender Chest** lets you place two ender chests side by side to get a
**54-slot double ender chest**.

## How it works

* The **top 3 rows are your real ender chest.** Fill the double chest, open any
  single ender chest anywhere, and you'll see the same 27 items in the same slots.
* The **bottom 3 rows are bonus storage** that belongs to you. Every double ender
  chest in the world shows the same bonus rows.
* Like any ender chest, **every player sees only their own items.** Two players
  can use the two halves of one double chest at the same time.

## Features

* Real drag-and-drop 54-slot chest screen that opens with a plain tap or
  right-click. No menus, no buttons, no commands
* Vanilla look: a seamless double ender chest whose lid opens while you use it,
  with vanilla open/close sounds
* No item duplication, no item loss: items are moved, never copied, and keep all
  their data (shulker box contents, books, enchantments, names)
* Breaks like a vanilla ender chest: 8 obsidian with a pickaxe, the chest itself
  with Silk Touch. The other half turns back into a normal ender chest
* Light level 7, blast resistant, can't be pushed by pistons
* English and Turkish
* Works with **Silkless Ender Chests** (Drop Ender Chest 1.0.1+): when it is
  installed, a broken half drops an ender chest instead of obsidian too

## How to use

| Action | How |

## Requirements

* Minecraft Bedrock **1.26.50** or newer
* Enable **both** the behavior pack and the resource pack
* Turn on **Upcoming Creator Features** in the world's Experiments settings.
  The tap-to-open chest screen uses the new custom block container, which Mojang
  still ships as experimental. If the toggle is off, ender chests simply stay
  single and the add-on tells you why in chat.

## Removing the add-on

Before removing it from a world, run `/scriptevent dec:export` (cheats must be
enabled) to get the items from the bonus rows back into your inventory. The top
3 rows are your normal ender chest and are never affected.

Works in survival, creative and multiplayer.
