Distant Motherlode Deposits Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Unearth Massive Ore Veins

Distant Motherlode Deposits Mod transforms standard underground mining into large resource expeditions. Instead of generating tiny ore clusters in every chunk, this mod creates massive continuous ore formations deep beneath the surface. Some veins reach up to 96 blocks in size, giving you enough materials to justify building outposts and rail systems. You spend less time strip mining and more time exploring open caves and mountains to spot rich mineral deposits.

Features:

• Replaces small scattered ore pockets with rare, massive underground deposits.
• Spawns giant ore bodies that can stretch up to 96 blocks wide across multiple chunks.
• Encourages building railways, roads, and distant outposts to transport gathered materials.
• Works alongside vanilla ore generation and fits cleanly into custom biome setups.
• Includes built-in preset profiles such as easy, medium, hard, abundance, and starvation.

Vein Shapes:

• Cloud: Uneven spherical bodies with random rich zones, commonly holding copper.
• Disk: Flat, horizontal sheets that spread under landscapes, holding stone types like andesite and diorite.
• Falloff: Concentric spherical deposits with the densest ore at the core, often containing gold.
• Kimberlite: Tall vertical pipes cutting through deep stone layers toward the surface, holding diamond and coal.
• Sphere: Round, uniform deposits with even ore density throughout, typical for iron.
• Lens: Oval formations that are thick in the middle and narrow at the edges, holding coal.

Configuration:

• config/ore_veins/server.toml: Controls server-side settings and active generation profiles.
• config/ore_veins/client.toml: Manages client-side options and visual settings.
• config/ore_veins/profiles/: Contains profile folders and JSON files to customize vein shapes, sizes, and ore mixtures.
