The longer hostile mobs survive, the stronger they become.
Mob Evolution is a Minecraft Bedrock addon that introduces a new evolution system for hostile Overworld mobs. Instead of remaining at their normal strength forever, Zombies, Skeletons, Creepers, and Spiders can survive, evolve, and become increasingly dangerous over time.
The world may look normal at first—but leave a hostile mob alive for too long, and you could end up facing something much more powerful.
⚔️ How It Works
Every supported hostile mob has an individual evolution timer.
When a mob survives for a certain amount of time, it progresses through different evolution stages. Each stage increases its combat capabilities through stronger effects and attributes.
⏱️ Evolution Stages
Stage 1 — 100 seconds
The first evolution begins after roughly 1 minute and 40 seconds.
Stage 2 — 300 seconds
After 5 minutes, the mob becomes significantly more dangerous.
Stage 3 — 600 seconds
After 10 minutes, the mob reaches a much stronger evolution stage.
Stage 4 — 900 seconds
After 15 minutes, the mob reaches its final planned evolution stage.
Because the timer is tracked individually, different mobs in the same world can be at completely different evolution stages.
🧟 Supported Mobs
🧟 Zombie
Zombies gradually become stronger, faster, tougher, and more difficult to defeat as they evolve.
💀 Skeleton
Skeletons become increasingly dangerous ranged enemies as their evolution progresses.
💥 Creeper
Creepers become progressively more threatening as they survive through the evolution stages.
🕷️ Spider
Spiders become faster and more powerful, making evolved spiders especially dangerous during close combat.
☀️ Hostile Mobs During the Day
One of the major changes introduced by Mob Evolution is daytime hostile mob spawning.
Zombies, Skeletons, Creepers, and Spiders can spawn during daylight instead of being restricted to normal nighttime darkness.
This means players can no longer assume that daytime automatically means safety.
☀️ Day = Not completely safe anymore.
🎮 A Different Survival Experience
Mob Evolution changes the way you approach hostile mobs.
Normally, leaving a hostile mob alive doesn't matter much. With this addon, it can become a serious problem.
You might encounter:
«A normal zombie...»
Then later:
«The same zombie after surviving long enough...»
And eventually:
«A highly evolved threat.»
This creates a simple but important survival rule:
Don't let dangerous mobs survive for too long.
