Makes Snow Golems use Ice Balls! 26.4+
Tired of Snow Golems dealing zero damage? Are they failing to defend your base from hostile mobs?
This Minecraft datapack upgrades your snow golems by replacing their harmless snowballs with damage-dealing ice balls, turning them into formidable defense turrets that deal actual damage and inflict the freezing effect on their targets.
How It Works
To ensure existing farm mechanics don't break, this pack uses a system:
- Normal Snow Golems: Continue to shoot regular snowballs, keeping automated knockback farms running exactly as they always have.
- Sheared Snow Golems: Once sheared, these pumpkinless snow golems will begin hurling ice balls at their enemies.
How To Upgrade
- Build a Snow Golem as you normally would.
- Grab a pair of Shears and right-click the Snow Golem to remove its pumpkin head.
- Only sheared, pumpkinless snow golems will start firing ice balls.
Important Note
To maximize server performance, the datapack checks for upgrades only during shearing events.
- Newly Sheared Golems: Will immediately start shooting ice balls.
- Existing Sheared Golems: If you already have sheared golems in your world, you can easily activate them by shearing a normal snow golem within a 20-block radius of them. This will trigger the upgrade routine for all nearby sheared golems at once.
