MC Smithing Studio lets you connect your preferred AI assistant and use it to help turn your ideas into changes on your Minecraft server.

The AI can read your project files directly, allowing you to ask questions about your configuration, plugins, files, and server setup without manually copying everything into a chat.

PLAN Chat

Plan what you want to change before making any modifications.

Use the planning chat to describe an idea or problem and work through what should be done before anything is changed.

APPLY Chat

Turn your plan into actual server changes.

The AI can work with your server files and stage changes for you. Before files are edited, you get the opportunity to review and approve the changes.

MC Smithing Studio also includes tools to help you make your server accessible to players without having to manually configure traditional port forwarding.

Playit.gg

Use Playit.gg to make your Minecraft server publicly accessible without configuring port forwarding on your router.

Geyser

Use Geyser to enable supported cross-play setups, allowing Bedrock players to connect to a Java server.

These tools are optional and can be used depending on how you want to host your server.

MC Smithing Studio is designed around two different ways of managing your server.

Play & Manage

A simplified interface designed for users who are new to Minecraft server hosting.

Instead of immediately dealing with configuration files and complicated server settings, Play & Manage gives you a guided way to manage the most common parts of your server.

From here you can:

• Start, restart, and stop your server
• Create and switch between server instances
• View your LAN IP and server port
• Change common gameplay and performance settings
• Edit your MOTD and server icon
• Manage players, whitelist, operators, bans, and game modes
• Create and restore backups

Advanced Server

When you are ready to have more control, switch to the Advanced Server interface.

The important part: both interfaces use the same server folder.

Switching between Play & Manage and Advanced Server does not create a copy of your server.

Backups & Safety

MC Smithing Studio is designed to give you control over changes made to your server.

AI file changes and Minecraft console commands can be reviewed before they are applied.

Plugin installations and server restart requests require explicit approval.

Text edits keep the two previous file versions, while full snapshots can be created before larger operations.

Your managed servers are also protected by a Trash system instead of being silently deleted.
