hay Vegan Pledge is a lightweight client-side mod for players who want their gameplay to match their character.

Whether you're roleplaying as a peaceful goat, a fluffy sheep, a herbivorous creature, or simply someone who doesn't eat meat, Vegan Pledge makes those choices part of the game.

No more accidentally eating steak. No more punching a cow when you meant to open a chest. Just a little reminder to stick to your character's rules. 🌱

🐐 Choose Your Path

Vegan Pledge adds three different behavior modes, each offering a different level of restriction.

🌱 Passive — Herbivore

The peaceful path.

You cannot eat meat or attack animals. Any attempt is blocked and a message will appear on your HUD.

Perfect for characters who want to live as a completely peaceful herbivore — whether that's a goat, sheep, cow, rabbit, or something else entirely.

🌾 Neutral

Peaceful, but not helpless.

Meat is still off the menu, but you can attack animals if you need to.

This mode is useful for characters who avoid hunting and meat, but don't want to be completely restricted when it comes to defending themselves or dealing with accidental encounters.

🐺 Aggressive — Predator

No restrictions.

Meat can be eaten, animals can be attacked, and gameplay returns to normal vanilla behavior.

Think of it as the "I'm done roleplaying for now" button.

🎛️ Switch Modes Instantly

You don't have to dig through menus every time you want to change your behavior.

Simply press the assigned hotkey — V by default — to switch between modes.

Your selected mode is saved locally, so it will still be there the next time you launch Minecraft.

✨ Small Details, More Immersion

Vegan Pledge isn't just about blocking actions.

The mod also adds a few little touches to make your chosen playstyle feel more natural:

Almost everything can be adjusted to your liking — from HUD positioning to effect intensity and sound intervals.

🎭 Who Is This Mod For?

Vegan Pledge is especially useful for roleplay and character-based modpacks.

Maybe you're playing as:

Instead of having to remember your character's rules yourself, the mod helps enforce them for you.

Because sometimes you're just trying to roleplay a cute little goat and suddenly you're standing there holding a steak.

Not very goat-like. 🐐
