Immersive Combat: Mob Combat

Mobs now fight the way you do.

This add-on gives hostile mobs full access to Immersive Combat's animations and combat systems. Zombies chain combos, wither skeletons parry your swings, and vindicators charge up weapon skills. Spiders pounce while you're busy, and endermen blink behind you mid-fight.

Every mob plays by the same rules you do. That means everything you learn from Immersive Combat's guide book works against them too.

⚔️ Mobs That Fight Like Players

• Combos: mobs swing in 1–3 hit combos with the same timing as Immersive Combat's weapons. Each weapon type is detected from what the mob is holding.
• Heavy attacks: telegraphed with Immersive Combat's alert icon, red glow and warning sound. Heavies can't be interrupted, so dodge or parry them.
• Weapon skills: mobs build combo count and spend it on skills such as Charged Slash, Downward Slash, Piercing Thrust and Blade Dance. Skills have a long charge that glows from gray to red as it builds.
• Combo levels: mobs that keep landing hits earn the same 1.2× / 1.5× / 2.0× damage buffs players get. Buffed mobs pulse red, so you know which one to deal with first.
• Sharpness: mob weapons dull over a long fight. Leave a mob alone and it'll stop to sharpen its blade, unless you interrupt it.

🛡️ Mobs That Defend

Mobs choose between parry, block, dodge and roll. If their preferred option is on cooldown, they fall back to another.

• Parry: a normal parry reflects some of your damage. A perfect parry reflects more and leaves you slowed and weakened.
• Block: three blocked hits break their guard and stagger them.
• Dodges and rolls: they come with brief invincibility frames. Stamina limits how often mobs can defend, so persistent pressure works.
• Blind spots: mobs can't defend against what they can't see. Attack from the side or behind.

🧠 Mobs That Read You

On Veteran and Nightmare, mobs watch what you're doing:

• Mashing attack gets you parried.
• Rushing in makes them roll away.
• Parrying makes them wait it out, then punish your cooldown.
• Dashing makes them hold off during your invincibility frames.
• Whiffing a swing invites a counter-attack.
• Drawing a bow makes them lunge in, and they may sidestep your shot.

👥 Mobs That Fight Together

• Call for help: hit one and its nearby allies join in.
• Flanking: melee mobs spread out and work around your sides. Only a few can attack you at once, but attackers behind you get priority.
• Skeletons roll back to keep their distance.
• Spiders pounce while you're distracted.
• Creepers sneak in from behind while you're busy with something else.
• Endermen teleport behind you once provoked.
• Mob vs mob: piglins, illagers and undead treat each other as enemies, and fights between mobs use the full combat system too.

🧟 Supported Mobs

• Full combat: Zombie, Husk, Drowned, Zombie Villager, Wither Skeleton, Vindicator, Piglin, Piglin Brute, Zombified Piglin.
• Defensive and tactics only: Skeleton, Stray, Bogged, Pillager, Evoker, Spider, Cave Spider, Creeper, Enderman.
• Mobs from other add-ons: add them with /tag @e[type=namespace:mob] add imcm_fighter. They need a humanoid model.

⚙️ Settings

Open the settings menu with /scriptevent imcm:settings.

• Difficulty presets: Auto (follows world difficulty), Casual, Veteran or Nightmare.
• Mob damage: adjustable from 25% to 300%.
• Toggles: dodging, parrying and blocking, lunges, heavy-attack telegraphs, reading the player, group tactics, combos and skills, sharpness, mob-vs-mob combat and slash particles.
• Attack limit: set how many mobs can attack one player at the same time.

Other commands: /scriptevent imcm:status · /scriptevent imcm:reset

📦 Installation

1. Install Immersive Combat first.
2. Import this .mcaddon.
3. Activate both packs in your world.
