What is it?
EranoAPI lets plugins run on every Minecraft version from 1.8 to 26.x with one jar. Names that Bukkit changed between versions (materials, sounds, particles, potions, enchantments) are written once, by today's name, and EranoAPI turns them into what each server calls them.
For server owners
- Drop EranoAPI.jar into plugins/. That's all: no config, no commands.
- Needed by plugins that use it (e.g. HungerGames).
- Works on Spigot and Paper 1.8 - 26.x.
- Materials - EranoMaterial.RED_WOOL is RED_WOOL on 1.13+ and WOOL:14 on 1.8 - 1.12. Items and blocks with their data values.
- Sounds - every sound by today's name; 1.9 and 1.13 renames matched by Mojang's own sound files.
- Particles - by today's name; on 1.8 (no particle API) EranoAPI sends the packet. Colors and block data work the same everywhere.
- Potions & enchantments - STRENGTH, SHARPNESS ... on every version; potion items too.
- Boss bars - on 1.8 as well.
- Holograms - per player, never saved to the world.
- Action bar & titles, inventory menus, TPS.
- YAML updates - add new keys to a server's config with their comments, keeping the owner's values.
- Plugin channels - talk to Forge / Fabric client mods with the same API.
- Cluster - shared arena state for minigame networks over MySQL or Redis.
