Better Lodestone Compass

Make Minecraft Bedrock's vanilla Lodestone Compass more useful without replacing its original behavior.

Better Lodestone Compass keeps the vanilla Lodestone Compass and its normal needle movement, while adding a lightweight navigation system using a matching Navigation Charm.

When you link a regular compass to a Lodestone, a Navigation Charm is automatically created for that destination.

Hold the Lodestone Compass in your main hand and the matching Navigation Charm in your off-hand to display navigation information above the hotbar.

How to Use

1. Use a normal Compass on a Lodestone.
2. The compass becomes a vanilla Lodestone Compass.
3. A matching Navigation Charm is automatically added to your inventory.
4. Hold the Lodestone Compass in your main hand.
5. Place the matching Navigation Charm in your off-hand.
6. Navigation information will appear above the hotbar.

If your inventory is full when the Navigation Charm is created, the charm will be dropped at your feet instead of being lost.

Multiple Lodestones

Each newly created Lodestone Compass and Navigation Charm pair receives a number.

For example:

Lodestone Compass #1 + Navigation Charm #1

Lodestone Compass #2 + Navigation Charm #2

Only matching pairs display the navigation HUD.

This makes it easier to manage multiple bases, villages, mines, portals, or other important locations.

Navigation Charm

The Navigation Charm stores the destination information used by the HUD.

It contains:

• Destination coordinates
• Dimension
• Pair number
• Destination information

The Navigation Charm cannot be crafted directly. It is created automatically when you make a new Lodestone Compass.

Guide Book

A Guide Book is automatically given to each player the first time they enter a world with the add-on enabled.

The guide explains:

• How to use the add-on
• How Navigation Charms work
• How compass/charm pair numbers work
• How to read the HUD
• Multiple Lodestones
• Dimension behavior
• How to craft another Guide Book

To craft another Guide Book:

1 Paper + 1 Log

Any supported log type can be used.

Dimensions

The add-on supports:

• Overworld
• Nether
• The End

When you are in the same dimension as the target Lodestone, the HUD displays coordinates, distance and direction.

When you are in a different dimension, incorrect distance and direction values are not displayed.

Notes

The vanilla Lodestone Compass remains the actual compass used for navigation.

This add-on does not replace the vanilla compass needle with a scripted custom compass. This helps preserve the normal Minecraft compass behavior and keeps the add-on lightweight and stable.

Existing Lodestone Compasses created before installing the add-on may not have matching Navigation Charm data. For best results, create a new Lodestone Compass after enabling the add-on.

使い方

Navigation Charm

新しいロードストーンコンパスを作成すると、自動で生成されます。

アドオンを導入したワールドに初めて参加すると、Guide Bookが1冊自動で配布されます。

ロードストーンと同じDimensionにいる場合は、座標・距離・方角を表示します。

注意

このアドオンは、Minecraft標準のロードストーンコンパスをそのまま使用します。

カスタムコンパスで針を疑似再現する方式ではないため、バニラの自然な針の動きを維持できます。

アドオン導入前に作成済みのロードストーンコンパスには、対応するNavigation Charm情報が存在しない場合があります。

その場合は、アドオン導入後に新しくロードストーンコンパスを作成してください。
