DiscoverPets brings a fresh and interactive experience to your Minecraft server. This plugin is designed to provide players with an additional sense of purpose by implementing a unique pet collection system. Instead of acquiring pets instantly, players must earn them by defeating a specific number of the respective mob types. Once the required milestone is reached, players can summon these mobs as loyal companions to accompany them on their adventures.

• Progression-Based Unlocking System: Players are required to eliminate a configured number of specific mobs to unlock the privilege of keeping them as pets. This significantly increases player retention and server engagement.
• Comprehensive Pet Collection: Supports almost all mob types available in Minecraft 1.20, ranging from passive animals like Cats and Axolotls to powerful monsters and bosses like the Warden, Wither, and Ender Dragon.
• Mountable Companions: Certain pets can be configured to be mountable, allowing players to ride them and providing an exciting new alternative for transportation.
• Interactive Graphical User Interface (GUI): Features a clean and easily navigable visual menu that allows players to seamlessly track their unlocking progress, summon, or store their pets.

Configurable Parameters:

For every individual mob type, administrators can adjust the following settings:

• enabled: Toggle the availability of the mob as a collectible pet.
• required-kills: Define the exact number of eliminations required to unlock the pet.
• mountable: Allow or restrict players from riding the summoned pet.
• speed: Adjust the movement speed of the pet.

Commands & Permissions

Player Commands (discoverpets.use)

• /pets - Opens the main discovery and selection GUI.
• /pets help - Displays the help menu.
• /pets spawn - Spawns a specific unlocked pet.
• /pets despawn - Despawns the currently active pet.
• /pets mount - Mounts the active pet.
• /pets carry - Carries the active pet.

Administrator Commands (discoverpets.admin)

• /pets discover - Instantly bypasses the kill requirement and unlocks a pet for the user.
• /pets refresh - Reloads the configuration file without requiring a server restart.
