ClearLag Pro

A professional ClearLag addon, performance-focused for Minecraft Bedrock servers.

It automatically clears dropped items on a schedule, warns players before each clean, and protects valuable items. All settings are changed in-game. No file editing is needed.

How to open the menu

There are two ways to open the menu:

Option 1: Use the item

1. Give yourself the admin tag: /tag @s add admin
2. Hold String and right-click to open the menu.

Option 2: Use a command

• Type /scriptevent clearlag:menu (requires OP).

In the menu, choose Settings to change the cleaning interval, warnings and protection. Choose Trash types to clear to select which trash types are cleaned.

Features

• Automatic cleaning on a schedule you choose, with a countdown.
• Advance warnings at any number of custom times (for example 15 seconds and 5 seconds).
• Valuables whitelist: gold, iron, lapis, emerald, diamond and many other items are never cleaned. You can add or remove items.
• Player protection: items near players can be kept safe (can be turned off).
• Two cleaning modes: clean by a trash type list, or clean items only.
• Clean now with confirmation and countdown, or Count trash to preview without deleting anything.
• Statistics for the number of items and entities removed.
• Warning sound with five presets, or enter any sound ID you like.
• Custom messages and a chat prefix.
• No server freezes: cleaning is split into small batches.
• Safe data: settings and the whitelist are saved in the world, with backups.

Requirements

• Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.26 or later.
• The Beta APIs experiment enabled in the world settings.

⚠️ Important: enabling the Beta APIs experiment will disable achievements for that world. If you need to keep achievements, use a separate world for your server.

Installation

1. Open ClearLag_Pro_1.0.0.mcaddon to import it into Minecraft.
2. In the world settings, enable Beta APIs under Experiments.
3. Apply the addon to your world, then restart.

Server installation (BDS and Endstone)

These steps apply to Bedrock Dedicated Server (BDS) and Endstone.

1. Create a folder named ClearLag_Pro inside behavior_packs/ at the server root. Put ClearLag_Pro_1.0.0.mcaddon in that folder and extract it there. The manifest.json file must end up directly inside ClearLag_Pro/.
2. Register the pack for your world. Open worlds/<world name>/world_behavior_packs.json (create it if it does not exist) and add:

If the file already has a pack list, add a new entry inside the array. Do not overwrite the whole file.

1. Enable Beta APIs for the world. If it is already enabled, skip this step. If not, back up the world first.
   • Download the world from the server to your computer.
   • Open it in Minecraft, go to Edit World > Experiments, turn on Beta APIs, and save.
   • Upload the updated world back to the server.
2. Restart the server. The log will show ClearLag Pro (version: 1.0.0).

⚠️ Enabling Beta APIs will disable achievements for that world.

Chat commands

Use /scriptevent clearlag:<command>:

Note: chat commands require OP permission. Opening the menu with the item requires the admin tag.

Troubleshooting

• The addon does not run: check that Beta APIs is enabled in the world, then restart. On a server, if the log says requesting dependency on beta APIs ... not enabled, the world does not have Beta APIs enabled.
• The server does not find the pack: check that pack_id and version in world_behavior_packs.json match the manifest. Also check that manifest.json is directly inside the addon folder and not nested one level deeper.
• The menu does not open with the item: check that you have the admin tag and are holding the correct item. Otherwise, use /scriptevent clearlag:menu (requires OP).
• Valuable items are being cleaned: check that the item is in the whitelist. Only items are protected by the whitelist.
