There maybe glitches and this may not be fully correct urns Minecraft survival into a hardcore trauma simulator. Your health bar is no longer the whole story: blood volume, brain health, leg stability, and pain are tracked separately in real time on a patient monitor above your hotbar. Get stabbed, shot, blown up, or take a nasty fall and you'll find out how fragile a body really is.
There is no passive healing. Natural regeneration is switched off, and nothing heals you for free. Every injury needs the right treatment, and the supplies are limited.
### The patient monitor
A live readout sits in your action bar at all times:
`BLD: 100% | BRN: 100% | LEG: 100% | PAIN: 0%`
Values change colour as you get worse, and a **BLEEDING** warning and a progress readout appear when you're being treated.
### Injuries
| Trigger | What happens |
|---|---|
| Hit by a mob or an arrow (melee / projectile) | You start **bleeding**: -2% blood every second until treated |
| Fall damage over 4 | **Legs break** (stability 0%, Slowness II) and **+40 pain** |
| Explosion | **-25% brain health** and a **heavy concussion**: violent camera shake and nausea for 15 seconds |
| Blood below 50% | **Hypovolemic shock**: blindness and slowness until your blood recovers |
| Blood hits 0% | You **bleed out** (custom death message) |
| Brain health below 90% | **Random concussion symptoms**: camera shakes and screen warping, worse the more damage you have |
### Surgical items
| Item | Use | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| **Ripped Dressing** | Hold use for **3 seconds** | Stops bleeding |
| **Splint** | Stand **completely still for 5 seconds** (moving cancels it) | Restores leg stability to 100% |
| **Medkit** | Instant | Clears bleeding, broken legs, pain and concussion, and restores **40% blood** |
Switching items mid-treatment cancels it. Items are only used up when the treatment finishes.
### Crafting
| Item | Recipe |
|---|---|
| Ripped Dressing (x2) | 2 String + 1 Paper (shapeless) |
| Splint | Stick, String, Stick (vertical line) |
| Medkit | 6 Iron Ingots + 2 Ripped Dressings + 1 Golden Apple (see below) |
Medkit layout:
```
Iron Iron Iron
Dress Apple Dress
Iron Iron Iron
```
### Recovering blood
If you aren't bleeding, your blood volume slowly recovers, but only while you're well fed (high saturation). Recovery costs a little saturation, so eat up.

## Installation
1. Download `LastPulse_v1.0.0.mcaddon` and open it. Minecraft imports both packs automatically.
2. Create or edit a world, then go to **Behavior Packs** and activate **Last Pulse (BP)**. The resource pack is activated with it.
3. Load in. Vitals show up immediately.
No experimental toggles should be required (the add-on uses the stable Script API).
**Game modes:** the simulation runs in Survival and Adventure. Creative and Spectator players are unaffected.
## Things worth knowing
- Natural regeneration is turned off for the world (`naturalregeneration` game rule), and any HP gain from other sources (golden apples, regeneration effect, healing potions) is reverted.
- The game rule for death messages is briefly toggled when someone bleeds out so the custom message shows instead of the default one.
- Balance can be tuned in the `CFG` block at the top of `scripts/main.js` (bleed rate, regen rate, durations, thresholds, medkit strength).
- Vitals are saved on the player, so they persist when you leave and rejoin. Respawning gives you a fresh body.
