- Put VoxelMap.jar into your plugins folder and restart the server.
- Run /voxelmap secret and copy the key.
- Create an account on voxelmap.de (Discord or Minecraft login), click Add server and paste the key.
- Open your map address. The plugin connects by itself.
Compatibility
- Spigot, Paper, Purpur and other forks
- Minecraft 1.13 up to the latest 26.x release, one single jar
- Java 8 or newer
- Not supported: Minecraft 1.12 and older, Folia
Commands
- /voxelmap (alias /vm) – status, server ID and statistics
- /voxelmap secret – shows your secret key
- /voxelmap resync – sends all players and chunks again
- /voxelmap reload – reloads the config and reconnects
- Permission: voxelmap.admin (default: operators)
External service & data (please read)
VoxelMap needs an external service: the plugin opens an outgoing encrypted connection (HTTPS/WebSocket) to gate.voxelmap.de. Nothing connects to your server, no port is opened.
- Sent: player names, UUIDs and skins, position, world, facing direction and simple state (sneaking, on fire, arm swing), optionally health and game mode, the block data of chunks that someone views on the map, block changes, and mobs near players.
- Not sent: chat, player IP addresses, inventories, permissions, files or the console.
- Visibility: controlled by you in the dashboard. A new map is private.
- The secret key stays in plugins/VoxelMap/secret.key and is stored encrypted on the service side. You can rotate it any time.
- An account on voxelmap.de is required. See the privacy policy.
- The plugin contains no analytics and does not download or run any code.
