FzStacks

Tired of potions filling up your whole inventory? FzStacks makes potions stack to 8 (or any size up to 99), and works for any item without durability.

Why FzStacks?
Instead of faking stack sizes on the server, FzStacks uses the max_stack_size item component added in Minecraft 1.20.5. The stack size is part of the item itself, so the client displays and handles it natively.

• No client mod, no resource pack
• Clicks, shift-clicks and drags behave exactly like any vanilla stack
• Brewing stands still accept one bottle per slot, like in vanilla: no duplication
• Drinking from a stack gives the empty bottle back, like honey bottles

Features

• Potions, splash potions and lingering potions stack to 8 out of the box
• Any item without durability, any size from 1 to 99, set per item type
• Items are converted as soon as they appear: brewing stands, loot chests, dropped items, containers you open
• Everything else (/give, villager trades, filled water bottles...) is caught by a lightweight check of online players' inventories, and merged into matching stacks automatically
• Items whose stack size is set by another plugin (e.g. MythicCrucible) are left alone, and other plugins' menus are never touched
• Change a size at any time: items that were already converted are updated
• Messages in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian (MiniMessage), and you can add your own language
• /fzstacks reload, no restart needed

Requirements

• Paper (or a fork of Paper). Tested on Paper 26.2 with Java 25.
• Does not run on Spigot or CraftBukkit: it relies on Paper's item data component API.

Quick start

1. Drop the jar in your plugins folder and restart the server.
2. Potions now stack to 8. Want more items or another size? Edit plugins/FzStacks/config.yml:

3. Run /fzstacks reload.

Commands & permissions

• /fzstacks: shows the active stack sizes
• /fzstacks reload: reloads the configuration and the language file
• Permission: fzstacks.admin (default: op)
