Glow Boss Bars

Give your players useful announcements, welcome messages, and server information right at the top of their screen. Glow Boss Bars is free, easy to configure, and includes dedicated support for legacy Minecraft 1.8 servers.

Minecraft 1.8 support
Minecraft 1.8 displays one purple boss bar at a time. Glow Boss Bars rotates eligible bars through that slot while animating their titles, text colors, and fullness. The legacy display uses a client-only invisible boss; no real boss is spawned into your worlds.

Changing the actual bar color and showing multiple bars together require modern native boss-bar support. The 1.8 slot is shared with natural bosses and other boss-bar plugins, so those displays may compete.

Compatibility
Designed for Minecraft 1.8 onward on Spigot, Paper, and compatible forks.
Server and protocol checks passed on Spigot 1.8, 1.8.3, and 1.8.8, plus Paper 1.8.8, 1.9.4, and 26.3. Other combinations have not been individually verified. Folia is not supported in this release.

No extra packet library is required. PlaceholderAPI is optional; install a suitable version and any expansions needed by your chosen placeholders. Use the Java version required by your server.

Quick setup
Step 1: Put GlowBossBars-0.1.0.jar in your server's plugins folder and start the server.
Step 2: Edit plugins/GlowBossBars/config.yml and lang.yml. A sample welcome bar is included.
Step 3: Run /glowbossbars reload to apply your changes.

Commands and permissions
• /glowbossbars help — Show command help.
• /glowbossbars list — List configured bars.
• /glowbossbars reload — Validate and reload both files.
All administrative commands require glowbossbars.admin, which defaults to server operators. Each bar can use its own viewing permission.
