Ore Golems — Build Your Own Guardian Army
Eight materials. Eight combat styles. One upgradeable defense for your world.
Turn familiar Minecraft blocks into powerful golems, each with its own combat ability. Reinforce their arms, add slime gloves, repair their glowing cracks and watch them fight back with Ground Slam and Fury Mode.
Current version: 1.7.1 • Minecraft Bedrock Edition
🧱 Build a golem the familiar way
Place four identical material blocks in a T shape: one block at the bottom and three across the row above it. Put a carved pumpkin on top of the middle block. Keep the spaces beside the head and bottom block clear.

Choose Stone, Copper Block, Gold Block, Diamond Block, Emerald Block, Amethyst Block, Obsidian or Netherite Block. The Stone Golem also supports cobblestone, smooth stone, stone bricks, deepslate and cobbled deepslate; all four blocks must match.
The structure works along either horizontal axis. If a completed structure does not activate, interact with its pumpkin. The original Iron Golem remains available.
⚔️ Every material has its own role
Material skills activate automatically after a successful melee hit, whenever their cooldown is ready. These are active combat abilities: the Emerald Golem’s healing pulse, for example, is triggered in battle rather than running permanently.

| Golem | Max HP | Base attack damage | Skill | Effect | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stone | 80 | 9 | Rising Strike | Launches the struck enemy upward. | 8 s |
| Copper | 90 | 10 | Shock Strike | Deals 5 extra damage and applies Slowness II for 3 seconds. | 9 s |
| Gold | 65 | 11 | Golden Surge | Gains Speed II and Strength I for 5 seconds. | 12 s |
| Diamond | 160 | 18 | Skybreaker | Launches the struck enemy higher, with knockback. | 10 s |
| Emerald | 140 | 15 | Healing Pulse | Restores 10% of maximum health to itself and allied golems within 6 blocks. Triggers during combat. | 15 s |
| Amethyst | 110 | 14 | Crystal Repulsion | Pushes enemies away within 6 blocks. | 12 s |
| Obsidian | 220 | 20 | Crushing Shockwave | Deals 6 extra damage and applies Slowness II for 4 seconds within 5 blocks. | 13 s |
| Netherite | 260 | 24 | Inferno Wave | Deals 5 extra damage, knocks enemies back and ignites them for 4 seconds within 5 blocks. Also immune to fire and lava. | 15 s |
HP and damage values are points, not hearts. Listed attack damage is before arm upgrades and Fury bonuses. Knockback distance varies with the target and terrain. Offensive material area skills affect up to 24 enemies.
💎 Reinforce both arms
- 1 diamond: diamond arms and +4 attack damage.
- 1 netherite ingot: netherite arms and +9 attack damage.
Interact with the golem while holding the upgrade item. Its body keeps the original material while both full arms change. You can upgrade directly to netherite. The bonuses do not stack: netherite gives +9 total, rather than +13.
Using an equal or lower arm upgrade does not consume another item. To upgrade a Diamond or Netherite Golem using its own material, sneak while interacting; normal interaction with that material repairs it.

🟩 Slime gloves: send enemies flying
Use one slime block on any Ore Golem to equip two green slime gloves. This unlocks Slime Punch, a strong horizontal launch against the enemy struck, with green particles and an 8-second cooldown.
Slime gloves work with Diamond or Netherite arm upgrades and also strengthen Ground Slam’s knockback. They remain equipped when the world is reloaded. Applying them again does not consume another block. While Slime Punch recharges, the golem’s original material skill can still activate on its own cooldown.
💥 Ground Slam: fight back when surrounded
After accumulating damage equal to 20% of its maximum health, the golem raises its arms and punches the ground. The impact repels enemies within 6 blocks, with material-colored particles and an impact sound.
- 15-second cooldown.
- Hits up to 64 enemies in range.
- Slime gloves increase horizontal knockback.
- Does not destroy terrain.
Damage taken during the cooldown does not charge the next slam. If another skill is already animating, the slam waits for it to finish. Fatal damage does not trigger a last-second slam.
🔥 Fury Mode: push your guardian to the limit
Fury activates when there are 8 or more enemies within 6 blocks, or when the golem has 35% health or less and at least one enemy nearby.
For 10 seconds, it gains Speed II and +6 damage on each melee hit, with a more aggressive posture, material-colored particles and a deep ravager roar. Fury then has a 25-second recovery, giving a minimum of 35 seconds between activations.
Fury works alongside the existing arm upgrades, slime gloves and Ground Slam. It does not heal the golem or grant invulnerability.

🔧 Repair damage with the original material
Interact normally with the golem while holding its repair material. Each item restores 25% of maximum health, up to full health. Repairs preserve arm upgrades and slime gloves.
| Golem body | Repair item |
|---|---|
| Stone | Stone or cobblestone |
| Copper | Copper ingot |
| Gold | Gold ingot |
| Diamond | Diamond |
| Emerald | Emerald |
| Amethyst | Amethyst shard |
| Obsidian | Obsidian |
| Netherite | Netherite ingot |
At full health, no repair item is consumed. Creative Mode does not consume repair or upgrade items.
✨ Glowing cracks and custom movement
Damage appears through three stages of cracks, with glowing energy colored to match the golem’s original body material:
- 75% health or above: no cracks.
- 50% to below 75%: light cracks.
- 25% to below 50%: medium cracks.
- Below 25%: heavy cracks.
Repair the golem to reduce and eventually remove the cracks. Glowing eyes and fissures remain visible in darkness; they do not cast dynamic light on nearby blocks.
Custom movement includes idle breathing, weighted walking, normal attacks, spawning, repairs, material skills and Ground Slam. Special abilities take priority so the golem performs one skill animation at a time.
🛡️ Built to protect
Scripted offensive skills exclude players, pets, allied golems and creepers. Fury keeps those same target rules. Material abilities do not explode terrain.
