Shulker Box Color Sorter V1 | Fully Automatic

This is the first version of my working Shulker Box Color Sorter!

The system automatically sorts shulker boxes based on their color. Currently, it supports red and white shulker boxes, but I believe it could potentially be expanded to support more colors.

How does it work?

In my case, I'm using white shulker boxes for my bone meal farm, while the red shulker boxes are used for a different storage system.

What's interesting about this design is that it also recycles some of the resources needed to recolor the shulker boxes!

The system takes one bone meal from the bone meal supply to produce white dye, which is then used to recolor the shulker boxes. For the red dye, I'm planning to connect the system to my iron farm, using the poppies it produces.

This allows the system to automatically handle the dye supply without requiring constant manual refilling, provided the connected farms supply enough resources.

Is it perfect? Absolutely not.

This is only Version 1, and there's definitely room for improvement.

The biggest problem right now is its size. It's honestly HUGE for what it does, and I'm pretty sure someone could come up with a much more compact and efficient design.

I haven't been able to find another working design that sorts shulker boxes by color using this approach, so this might be one of the first publicly shared designs of its kind. I could be wrong, though!

Can it be made modular?

Possibly!

I believe it should be possible to expand the system by repeating the same color-separation mechanism multiple times, allowing it to sort additional colors.

However, I haven't tested this yet, so the current blueprint is designed specifically for two colors: red and white.

I'd genuinely love to see someone take this concept and make it better.

I'd love to see what other people can come up with, especially if someone manages to make it significantly more compact.

For now, I'm just happy that I finally managed to get a working system that can automatically sort shulker boxes by color.
