⬇ DownloadLiving versions of ores follow you around as pets in Blocklings, an add-on where you tame mineral creatures. It needs Experimental Features turned on, and both the behavior pack and the resource pack must be applied to your world.
Blocklings spawn in caves, and the ore each one carries decides its health, with more valuable minerals giving more. Defeating one has a chance to drop a special gold item. Taming works with iron or gold ingots at a 10% chance per attempt, and a tamed Blockling opens an interface to sit, follow or wander, switch between passive and aggressive stances, and take a custom name. They can also wield vanilla swords, including enchanted ones.
