Frozen Death,
Is what creeps from the snow on this not-so jolly Christmas Eve. It is the year 1918, and the Confederate States Empire, the Traitorous Rebels, or The Southern Empire is on the verge of collapse... The United States military has come to capture the capitol city of their enemy. They believe their rebellious states since 1860 has been running free for far too long, and they aim to attack, and occupy the capitol by the end of the year. The modern Union's staging grounds sits high on the foothills of Manchester heights, overlooking the James River, the town of Manchester, and the aged Confederate Empire fort, Fort Winder. However, the weather is on neither Federal's nor Rebel's side this cold, not so silent night. Snow has fallen, dropping temperatures, muddying fields, and making life miserable for both sides to simply live in.
Imminent Attack!
The United States may be sitting in their trenches on the Manchester heights, but once the trench whistles blow, they will enter a frozen hell no man should ever face. They must advance through a vast no-man's land, and occupy Fort Winder, and the adjacent Wheat farmstead. From there, they must take Manchester and ghetto regions, where their enemy will find no purchase, and across the bridge into the city of Richmond. They will face a staunch and desperate defense of their enemy's Capitol, through alleys, blocked streets, graves of the past, and fields of blood and snow, wrestling control from their rebellious enemy, the Southern Empire. Eventually they must take control of the Tower of Richmond, the Emperor's summer residence and command center. And to raise the Star spangled banner over this important city, like it was before 1860.
For Hearth and Home!
For the Southern Confederate Empire, the defense of Richmond has become dire. German reinforcements have been stalled, there is no aerial support, food, ammunition, and other supplies have been running low. The Federals have been starving out the soldiers for weeks, and a frontal assault could prove disaster for their young Empire. The Yankees have superior numbers, equipment, but lack the knowledge many of the defenders have of their homes, the streets they walked, the fields they tended, the factories they worked in. With empty stomachs, empty rifles, and a heart full of courage, the Imperial soldiers will fight to the last man for each inch of their capitol city. For these men, it is do, or die. Perhaps they can withstand this onslaught, or they maybe vanquished, and their nation, dismantled.
Who will win this terrible all out engagement? Will the U.S. retake this industrial capitol of the Empire? Or will the battered imperial forces hold the line, and punt the Yankees out of Virginia?
