RecyCraft | Item Recycler
Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.21–26.x. Download on the author's site.
⬇ Download on SpigotRecyCraft 1.0 — item recycling machines
Craft and place a recycler, deposit an item, confirm it, and start a timed job. Configurable recipes and probabilities determine which materials are recovered. Each machine has its own input, job and results. Progress appears in the GUI and above the machine as a hologram.
Features
Installation
1. Stop the server and back up its world and player data.
2. Put RecyCraft-1.0.jar in plugins/ and remove any older RecyCraft JAR.
3. Start the server with the Java version required by your Minecraft server (Java 21 for Paper 1.21.x; Java 25 for Paper 26.2).
4. Check the startup log; run /recycler debug and /recycler coverage.
5. Craft a recycler or have an operator use /recycler give <player> 1.
No client mod or resource pack is required. On first start, the server downloads SQLite JDBC and SLF4J from Maven Central via plugin.yml; allow Internet access for that download. Vault, an economy provider, WorldGuard, ProtectionStones and PlaceholderAPI are optional.
Compatibility
The plugin targets the Bukkit/Spigot 1.21 API. The underlying codebase was exercised on Paper 1.21.11 with Java 21 and Paper 26.2 with Java 25. The Paper 26.2 session used a 1.21.11 client translated by ViaVersion/ViaBackwards. A native 26.2 client and a Spigot runtime have not been verified. This newly labeled 1.0 JAR has been compiled and inspected, but has not yet been run on a server. Folia is not supported.
Administration
Use /recycler help for player commands. Administrators should review the generated YAML files in plugins/RecyCraft/, keep coordinated backups of SQLite, worlds and player data, and avoid hot-reloading the JAR. Unknown custom item metadata is rejected by default until explicitly allowed. MySQL/MariaDB storage is not included. Source code is licensed under MIT.
Screenshots
1. Recycler interface — Deposit an item and preview possible recovered materials.
2. Recovery chances — The GUI shows failure chance, base recovery, batch size, duration and durability effects before confirmation.
3. Recycling in progress — The hologram above a machine shows its input and time remaining.
4. Completed job — The hologram signals completion; open the machine to collect recovered materials.

Features
- Craftable recycling machine; normal smithing tables keep their vanilla behavior.
- Preview possible outputs and chances before starting.
- Configurable recipes, categories, processing times, recovery rates, failure chances, special items, GUI, messages, sounds and holograms.
- SQLite persistence for inputs, jobs and results across restarts; claim pending items with /recycler claim.
- Cancel an unfinished job to recover the original item. Finished jobs yield their results instead.
- Optional time acceleration using emeralds or Vault with an economy provider. Ordinary recycling does not charge money.
- Optional WorldGuard, ProtectionStones and PlaceholderAPI integrations.
