The Roads More Travelled TRMT Mod adds a gradual terrain wear mechanic that slowly shapes your regular walking routes into natural trails. Walking across grass, dirt, sand, and leaves wears the ground down over time into worn block variants. Riding mounts creates pathways even faster, while unused roads slowly heal over in-game days. It turns ordinary journeys into a clear visual record of your daily footsteps across the world.

Features:

• Erosion Stages: Grass, dirt, and sand blocks advance through multiple worn visual stages the more you walk on them.
• Terrain Recovery: Worn blocks left untouched for several in-game days slowly revert back to their standard form.
• Mount Multipliers: Riding horses or leading mobs wears down ground blocks twice as fast as walking on foot.
• Includes five worn grass variants, three worn dirt variants, and five worn sand block variants.
• Spreads a small fraction of wear to neighbouring blocks to create smooth, natural path borders.
• Tramples small ground vegetation and leaves once their wear limit is reached.

Configuration:

• erosion and deErosion: Toggles terrain wear and natural recovery for individual block types.
• erosionMultipliers: Adjusts how fast player walking, mounts, and leashed mobs wear down blocks.
• erosionThresholds: Sets the wear ranges needed for blocks to advance to their next visual stage.
• erodableVegetation: Defines the list of plant blocks that can be trampled by foot traffic.
• deErosionTimeoutDays: Controls how many in-game days an unstepped block waits before beginning to heal.

How to Use:

1. Walk or ride mounts repeatedly over the same areas of grass, sand, or dirt to wear them down into trails.
2. Use bonemeal on worn grass or dirt blocks to restore them to normal right away.
3. Use a brush on eroded sand blocks to clean and restore them.
4. Brew a Potion of Lightness using nether wart and a feather to walk without wearing down the ground.
5. Run /trmt convert-to-vanilla before removing the mod to turn all worn blocks back into vanilla blocks.
