I am back with some 🚋 refurbished trains 🚃 and they're looking ✨ better than ever ✨

Now featuring better visibility from inside, even more inside space, emissive light textures, sounds from real-life electric trains, higher floor and an even smaller gap for easier access, a repaint job, and a whole lot more, designed for a smoother and comfortable ride.

This resource pack changes the minecart model to look like small train carriages/units. When you ride the minecart, it kind of feels like you're inside a train, instead of an iron bucket with nothing around it, so I've tried to make it cosy and have enough visibility from the inside. If you place them one after another, they sort of look like a train. Use them to make train units, trams, funiculars or whatever.

Another part of this pack are wider railway tracks and straightened diagonal tracks, which are great if you want to build long diagonal lines and don't like the squiggles, but small loops won't look as good as with the default textures. Also, diagonal tracks look a bit messy and railway sleepers/railroad ties are further apart, but it looks clean from afar. In the most recent version, I changed the powered rail texture to have a third rail between the tracks, and the trains have contact shoes, to collect electrical current from it. Look of other tracks is also tweaked, and redstone dust wires now look more minimalist.

The pack format now has this new thing where it can be set to a range so it should work on all the newer versions with OptiFine. This time I lowered te weels and contact shoes by half a pixel so they don't look like they are floating above tracks. They are slightly higher above the tracks in newer versions, and all the other minecart models are also changed, they just have chests and other things sitting inside. I think it should work in slightly older versions with OptiFine, so just ignore the warning message. If you are using an older version, and the wheels look weird, please tell me so I can add the alternative model in the pack file.

If something is broken or you have any suggestions, please do comment! But PLEASE, if it doesn't work, describe the problem in DETAIL, tell me which version of Minecraft and OptiFine you are using, so I don't have to pull it out of you. Writing reviews like "pack borken" doesn't count as reporting an error. Also, in case anyone prefers the older version, please tell me so I can put the zip inside the download file, so you can unpack it and choose what to use.

• yellow accents to the cab exterior and doors, new seats, and darker walls (along with clearer window glass) to reduce screen flashing when turning repeatedly

even newer:

• train width increased to 2500 mm; I will not increase it any further
• redrew the tracks; powered rails now have a third rail between the running rails, other tracks made to look alike
• trains now have two contact shoes, they touch the third rail to look as if collecting current
• changed redstone dust wires to look more like redstone visible in the tracks
• updated the credits and specifications file

Sound for "base.ogg" is derived from a recording of a Stadler FLIRT electric multiple unit, operated by Slovenske železnice, departing a railway station; and "inside.ogg" is derived from a recording from the inside of a Bombardier (currently Alstom) Aventra electric multiple unit, operated by Greater Anglia; both were recorded by the author herself in 2026 and 2025, respectivelly.
