Improvement Minecarts Mod transforms ordinary tracks into active railway networks. You can link minecarts together with iron chains to create long trains. Straight tracks allow carts to reach higher speeds, while furnace carts serve as working locomotives. Stations and redstone signals also help manage travel and cargo stops across your world.
Features:
- Chain Coupling: Connect up to eight minecarts into a single train using regular iron chains.
- Higher Travel Speeds: Carts run at speeds up to 18 blocks per second on straight rail lines.
- Working Locomotives: Furnace minecarts pull passenger and freight cars along the track.
- Automated Terminals: Gold blocks under the rail create terminal stops that pause and reverse trains automatically.
- Redstone Signal Control: Powered redstone lamps under the track act as stop signals for junctions.
- Station Announcements: Signs placed beside station tracks display and announce station names.
- Visible chain links appear directly between connected carts.
- Players can reverse a train from either end while riding inside.
- Push-pull setups travel back and forth without turning the carts around.
- Hoppers and barrels set up cargo loading platforms for freight.
- Hay and copper zones control cart travel speed.
- Train links stay intact during temporary chunk unloads.
Commands:
/trigger im.menu: Opens the in-game help menu./trigger im.reverse: Reverses the direction of a coupled train while riding inside it./function improvement_minecarts:config: Opens the full operator settings menu.
How to Use:
- Place minecarts on a straight and flat section of rail about two blocks apart.
- Hold an iron chain in your main hand.
- Look at the first cart and sneak.
- Release sneak, point at the second cart, and sneak again to connect them.
- Repeat the process to link up to eight carts into one train.
- Sneak and use shears on a cart to disconnect the train.
