Java data pack listed for Minecraft 1.21–26.x. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.
A datapack that aims to make pets more useful! (So you don't tame them and trap them in your base your whole playthrough)

Your tamed pets finally pull their weight. Keep a pet within 16 blocks and it gives you a small, themed buff, plus a special ability that kicks in when it matters.
works in singleplayer and on servers.
Wolf
- Strength I while your wolf is nearby
- Strength II if your wolf is wearing wolf armor
- ⚔ Pack Bond: every kill your wolf makes gives you +10% attack damage, stacking up to 3 times (+30%). Each kill resets the 15 second timer.
Cat
- Night Vision while your cat is nearby
- Nine Lives: drop to 2 hearts or less and your cat saves you with 3 seconds of immunity and a burst of Regeneration.
Parrot
+1 Feather Falling on top of whatever your boots already have (works with no boots too).
Tailwind: fall off a ledge and your parrot helps you glide for 3 seconds. 60 second cooldown.
- Perks only come from your own tamed pets, not other players'.
Commands
/function pet_perks:infoshows every perk in chat/function pet_perks:uninstallcleans everything up before you remove the pack
Installation
- Download the zip (don't unzip it).
- Put it in
.minecraft/saves/<your world>/datapacks/. - Run
/reloadin game, or rejoin the world.
On a server, put it in world/datapacks/ and run /reload.
Compatibility
Java Edition 1.21.5 and newer.
