What if your actions in Minecraft left behind mysterious traces of energy?
AFTERTRACE – Legacy Awakened is an addon concept built around mining, building, combat, progression and mysterious artifacts. Explore your world, discover the power hidden in your actions, collect Echo Energy, earn Echo XP and use special abilities to enhance your survival adventure.
Gather resources, fight hostile creatures, complete objectives and develop your own playstyle as you uncover the secrets of the AFTERTRACE system.
⚙️ How It Works
1. Mine, Build and Fight
Play Minecraft normally using your pickaxe, axe, shovel, sword and other tools. Eligible mining, building and combat actions can generate AFTERTRACE rewards. You do not need the Memory Shard to break blocks, and obsidian is still mined using a suitable vanilla pickaxe.
2. Earn Echo XP and Echo Energy
Echo XP supports progression and levels. Echo Energy powers your special abilities and has a maximum capacity of 100. Rewards depend on the implemented action and reward balance. Energy and XP are separate resources with different purposes.
3. Use Your AFTERTRACE Artifacts
The Resonance Lens is your ability tool. The Memory Shard helps scan for and collect traces when trace collection is enabled. The Echo Battery is a consumable that restores energy, subject to the energy cap and the implemented recharge rules.

✚ REGENERATION
Recover health with a temporary regeneration effect and stay in the fight.
Designed cost: 30 Echo Energy · Cooldown: 25 seconds
➤ DASH
Gain a controlled forward movement boost to escape danger, reposition or explore your surroundings.
Designed cost: 30 Echo Energy · Cooldown: 7 seconds
◈ TRACE MAGNET
Collect eligible nearby traces within the ability's range and turn them into useful progression rewards.
Designed cost: 20 Echo Energy · Cooldown: 12 seconds
Ability costs, cooldowns and effects describe the intended balance and should be checked against the exact published build.
🧰 Artifacts and Crafting
- Resonance Lens: The primary tool for activating and cycling abilities.
- Memory Shard: A trace utility, not a replacement for a pickaxe or other mining tool.
- Echo Battery: A consumable energy-restoration item.
- Crafting recipes: Intended to let players craft replacement artifacts and batteries when the corresponding recipes are available and working in the installed build.
- Durability: Equipment durability is part of the intended design. Verify the published build's item durability and repair behavior before relying on it.
📈 Progression, Missions and Rare Traces
- Earn Echo XP through eligible gameplay actions.
- Develop your Echo Level as you progress.
- Explore mission and reward systems when enabled in the build.
- Discover rare Eclipse Traces if supported by the installed version.
- Manage your Echo Energy and choose when to activate abilities.
🎮 Getting Started
- Download the AFTERTRACE .mcaddon file.
- Open it with Minecraft Bedrock Edition and wait for the import to finish.
- Create a new world or open a suitable test world.
- Enable the AFTERTRACE Behavior Pack and its Resource Pack in world settings.
- Check the inventory and starter-item behavior in your installed build.
- Use normal Minecraft tools to mine, build and fight, then check how the addon rewards those actions.
- Use the Resonance Lens and Memory Shard according to their in-game instructions.

Back up your world before installing or updating an addon. Features can vary by release, Minecraft version and enabled pack settings. If an item, recipe, ability or progression feature does not work in your build, report the issue with your Minecraft version and a screenshot or error message.
