GaleFell (Realistic Tree Felling)

Chop one log. Watch the whole tree fall.

Treecapitator-style felling for Bedrock, with the weight left in. Sneak, swing an axe at the lowest log and the whole tree leans, picks up speed and crashes down in one piece, leaves included, instead of a pile of blocks floating in the air. It stops if its trunk meets a wall, a post or another tree, and its leaves keep the colour of the biome they grew in.

• Oak, birch and spruce: normal natural trees, including swamp oaks with vines, azalea trees, tall birches and pines. Works in existing worlds, no experimental toggles.
• Sneak, hold an axe and break the lowest log. The tree tips away from you, speeds up as it falls and stops early at obstacles.
• Logs drop as items where the tree lands. The tree's own leaves are cleared with the usual leaf drops: saplings, sticks, apples.
• Leaf colours follow the biome, and the falling tree is matched to Simple, Fancy and Vibrant Visuals graphics.
• Your axe wears per log, Unbreaking works, and Creative costs nothing.
• Safe for builds: only natural-looking trees fall, player-placed leaves stay, and when GaleFell is unsure the log simply breaks.
• Lite size limit: trees up to 32 connected logs. Other woods and bigger trees break normally, with a short note on the action bar.

Want every tree? The complete GaleFell is being prepared as the Omnixel Patreon edition:

• All nine woods: adds jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry and pale oak.
• Giant trees: big oaks and 2x2 spruce, pine, jungle and dark oak, up to 192 logs.
• Falling trunks hit and push back mobs in their path.
• Trees with uneven branches lean toward the heavier side.
• A command to pin the leaf look for a whole world.

Installation

1. Download the attached .mcaddon file and open it with Minecraft Bedrock.
2. Enable the behavior pack "GaleFell Lite: Realistic Tree Felling" in your world (its resource pack is added with it).
3. Hold an axe, sneak and break the lowest log of an oak, birch or spruce.

Use one GaleFell edition per world. If the full edition is also active, the Lite one switches itself off.

Requirements

Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.50 or newer with stable @minecraft/server 2.9.0. The Beta APIs toggle is not required. Captured and checked on Windows in single player; real two-device multiplayer, phone and console play remain unverified.
