XPVaultEconomy
XPVaultEconomy uses the experience points your players already earn as money. I made it for servers where XP should be useful for trading as well as enchanting. Players can pay each other, request a payment and split a bill.

Requirements
Java 25, Paper/Purpur 1.21.8 or newer, VaultUnlocked (registered as Vault) and Vystorm Core. Core 0.28.1 is included; install VaultUnlocked separately. No client mod is needed.

Installation
Stop the server and back up your player data and databases. Extract XPVaultEconomy-1.8.3-26.2.jar into plugins/ and install the dependencies. If you already have a newer Core, keep it instead of adding the bundled copy. Keep one JAR per plugin.
Start once to create the config, choose your storage settings, then restart. Check payments on a test copy before opening the economy to players. Do not hot-reload.

COMMANDS.md in the download lists the command arguments and permission defaults.

Updating and shared storage

• Balances from old files or plugin-owned MySQL tables in version 1.7.0 and earlier are not imported automatically. Plan any manual transfer before updating.
• If you choose MySQL and it is unavailable, the plugin disables itself.
• Payment requests, limits, privacy settings and history stay local to each server, even with shared balances.
• Web pages and client displays need the corresponding Core features enabled.

Compatibility
The 2026-10-22 checks covered Paper 1.21.8, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3, plus Purpur 1.21.8 and 26.3, including restarts. Java 25 is required. Plain Spigot and Folia support are not claimed. Database integration, payment crash recovery and optional web/client combinations were not part of those checks.

Support and license
If a payment or balance does not behave as expected, post in the discussion with your server and plugin versions and the steps that led to it. Please remove database passwords and other private details from logs.
XPVaultEconomy is MIT licensed. The license is included in the download.
