CommunityGoals | ✅ Server-wide goals your players fill together - unlock chains, stations & fair rew
Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.21–26.x. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.
⬇ Download on SpigotGive your server something to build together.
CommunityGoals turns "someone should do that" into "we did it".
Post a goal like "Build the Town Hall: 2,048 stone bricks, 512 logs, 256 glass". Everyone chips in from a menu or a floating station at spawn. The whole server watches the bar fill up, and when it's done, everyone who helped is rewarded by how much they gave.
Then the next goal unlocks. Open the Nether, reach the End, light up spawn: your server's progression, built by your players.
Drop the jar in. Restart. Play.
Donations
A goal asks for any mix of items and money. Open it, click what it needs, done.
- Left-click gives everything you have that the goal still needs; right-click gives one stack. "Give everything I can" fills every requirement in one click.
- Only what's still needed is taken. The rest stays in your inventory.
- Requirements can accept any item of a kind: '*_LOG' for every wood, [GLASS, '*_STAINED_GLASS'] for any glass.
- Only plain items count: renamed, enchanted or damaged items are never taken, so nobody loses their gear by accident.
- Money donations (with Vault) use preset buttons or any amount typed in chat, always clamped to what's left.
Every goal at a glance: active ones first, then what's coming next and what's already done.
Donating: see how much is still needed, how much you've given, and give it all with one click.
Unlock chains, deadlines and daily rounds
Goals can require other goals: the Nether only opens after the Town Hall is built. Chain them into a tech tree for your whole server.
- Time limits per round (6h, 3d, …). If time runs out, donations are refunded (items to a returns box, money to the balance) or kept, your choice per goal.
- Repeating goals start a new round on their own: a daily harvest, a weekly event, back to back or after a pause.
- Goals can start as soon as they unlock, or wait for an admin with /goals start.
- Progress is saved continuously and survives restarts and /goals reload.
Fair rewards
Every player's share of a goal is tracked. Every requirement weighs the same, so 10 diamonds out of 100 count as much as 1,000 cobblestone out of 10,000.
- Contributor rewards: any console commands, run for everyone who gave at least a minimum share (so a single cobblestone doesn't count).
- Top ranks: extra rewards for the best contributors (#1, #2, #3…).
- Money pool: split between contributors by share, exact to the cent.
- Offline players get their reward commands the next time they join. Money they're owed is never lost.
- Server-wide commands when a goal is completed: open a warp, set a world border, start an event.
Your part: your share, your rank, what you gave and whether you've earned the contributor rewards.
Progress everyone sees
- Stations: type /goals station create town-hall at spawn and a floating display shows the goal's live progress. Right-click it to donate. No resource pack, no hologram plugin, and it's never saved into your world.
- Boss bar: the active goals at the top of the screen, rotating or showing the one closest to done. Players can hide it with /goals bossbar.
- Announcements: new goals, milestones (25%, 50%, 75%, 90%), big donations and completions, all clickable.
- Celebration: a title, a sound and fireworks over the goal's stations when it's done.
A station at spawn: live progress, finished requirements ticked off. Right-click to help.
The boss bar keeps everyone in the loop; the chat celebrates every step.

Configuration
Goals live in goals.yml; three examples are included (a build goal, an unlock with a money pool and a daily repeating goal), and every option is explained at the top of the file. A typo never takes the other goals down: the console tells you exactly which goal and option to fix.
config.yml covers announcements, milestones, the boss bar, stations and donation buttons; every option is commented and new ones are added automatically when you update. Messages are in lang/messages_en.yml and lang/messages_es.yml (MiniMessage format); copy one to add your own language. Item names are shown in each player's own game language.
Anonymous usage statistics
CommunityGoals uses PluginAnalytics so I can see which features are used and fix errors quickly, often before anyone reports them. It sends server software and versions, player counts, how CommunityGoals' features are used, its config choices and its own errors and log lines.
- Never sent: player names, UUIDs, IP addresses, chat, inventories or world data. Players are an anonymous hash that is different on every server.
- Turn it off with enabled: false in plugins/PluginAnalytics/config.yml and restart.
- Exactly what is sent: pluginanalytics.dev/privacy
Requirements
- Paper (or a fork like Purpur) 1.21.4 or newer, including 26.x. Spigot/CraftBukkit is not supported.
- Java 21+ (Java 25 for Minecraft 26.x, as required by Paper)
- Optional: Vault and any economy plugin (EssentialsX, CMI, …) for money goals and the money pool. Item goals work without it.
- Optional: PlaceholderAPI
FAQ
Can donations be lost? No. If a goal runs out of time, donations are refunded or kept as you configured. If the economy refuses a refund or a reward, the money waits in the player's returns box.
Can I change a goal while it's running? Yes. Edit goals.yml and run /goals reload. Progress is kept as long as the goal and requirement ids stay the same.
Do offline players get their rewards? Yes. Money is deposited straight away; reward commands run the next time they join.
Does it support MySQL or multiple servers? Not yet. Planned if there's demand.
Is it tested? Every release runs 62 automated tests covering donations, shares, rewards, unlocks, deadlines, refunds, repeating rounds and the menus, and is started on real Paper 1.21.4, 1.21.11 and 26.3 servers.
