Worn out? Not by a long shot.
Old armour, worn-out tools and full storage chests: not everything has to end up in the bin. With **Recycling**, you can recover some of the materials from your Minecraft items – in your very own recycling furnace with hopper connections and menus in German and English.

You decide how much is recovered. By default, **50 per cent** is recovered.
The recovery rate can be adjusted in the menu; damaged tools and armour yield less.
Fractional amounts are saved and added to in subsequent runs.
Example: An undamaged iron breastplate consists of eight iron ingots. At 50 per cent, you’ll get four iron ingots back.

## Automation with hoppers
- **Top:** Feed items to be recycled.
- **Left, as seen from the front of the furnace:** Feed fuel.
- **Bottom:** Remove finished materials and, for example, direct them into a chest.

The feed hoppers must face the furnace. Redstone can block the relevant hopper. When the output is full, the furnace waits without consuming the next input item. Furnaces operate in loaded chunks.

## Custom recipes directly in-game
Select input templates, output materials and base quantities in the recipe editor. For each recipe, you can set recovery, duration and whether to take item condition into account. Custom rules take precedence over the default disassembly.

Precise item templates, Minecraft materials and, optionally, recognised Nexo IDs are available for mapping. Named items with metadata can also be used as templates. The composition of items from third-party plugins is not automatically recognised; you must create suitable custom recipes for these.

## German and English
Menus, help texts, status messages and player messages are available in German and English. Admins can change the language in the overview or settings. The selection applies server-wide and is retained after a restart. Custom item names are not translated.

1. With the server stopped, place the JAR file in the `plugins` folder and start the server.
2. Open `/recycling` as an administrator and select **‘Get Furnace’**.
3. Place the furnace you’ve obtained, right-click it and add items and fuel.

A standard smelting furnace from the Creative inventory does not automatically become a recycling furnace. Alternatively, the special furnace can be crafted at a workbench using six iron ingots, a hopper, a smelting furnace and a grindstone. The plugin menu shows the required recipe.

When updating, back up and keep the `plugins/recycling` folder, replace the existing JAR file and restart the server. Leave only one Recycling JAR file in the `plugins` folder.
