JobBoard | ✅ Player job board with escrow - deliveries, hunts & server contracts
Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.21–26.x. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.
⬇ Download on SpigotYour players already trade, farm and grind.
JobBoard turns that into a living economy.
A builder who needs 2,000 stone posts a job. A new player hands in 300 of it and is paid on the spot. A veteran clears the zombie hunt someone else posted.
Nobody has to trust anybody: the reward is held in escrow from the moment the job is posted, and paid out automatically as the work is done.
Drop the jar in. Restart. Play.
Delivery jobs
Ask for any item: "256 oak logs for $300". Anyone can deliver part or all of it and is paid instantly for exactly what they handed in, so big orders get done by many players together. Delivered items wait in the poster's mailbox until they collect them.
- Only plain items count: renamed, enchanted or damaged items are rejected, so nobody can sneak in junk.
- An item blacklist (with wildcards) keeps bedrock, spawners, command blocks and spawn eggs off the board.
- If the economy ever refuses a payment, the worker gets every item back.
The board: every open job, filterable and sortable. Hover a job to see its reward, progress and time left.
Delivering: the menu shows how many you have, how many will be taken and exactly what you'll earn.
⚔ Hunt jobs
Ask for mob kills: "30 skeletons for $60". Players accept the hunt and every kill pays its share right away, shown above the hotbar.
- Only players who accepted the hunt are paid, and each kill counts for one job only.
- Mobs from spawners, spawn eggs and trial spawners don't count by default, so farms can't drain a job.
- Choose which mobs can be hunted (40 included, from zombies to the Ender Dragon). Mobs that don't exist on your version are skipped automatically.
- A per-player limit on accepted hunts keeps jobs available for everyone.
New jobs are announced with a clickable message. Payouts appear instantly; posters are told when their job is done, even if they were offline.
Real escrow
When a job is posted, the reward (plus a small configurable fee) is taken from the poster's balance and held by the plugin.
- Workers are paid from that escrow as they work. Money is tracked in whole cents, so payouts always add up exactly to the reward: it never leaks and never duplicates.
- If the job expires or the poster cancels it, whatever is left is refunded automatically. The fee is not refunded, which discourages spam.
- If a refund can't be made (economy offline), the job stays open until it can. Money is never lost.
- Limit how many jobs each player can have open with jobboard.limit.<n>, and set minimum/maximum rewards and amounts.
Posting a job: click an item in your inventory, set the amount, reward and duration with buttons (or type exact values in chat), and see the total cost before confirming.
Server contracts
A rotating set of jobs posted by the server itself, configured in server-jobs.yml. They keep the board alive on quiet days, give new players a way to earn their first money, and work as an item sink for your economy (delivered items leave the game). When one is completed or expires, a different one takes its place.
Physical boards
Stand at your spawn and type /jb board create: a floating board appears, showing the best-paying open jobs and updating by itself. Right-click it to open the menu.
- No resource pack, no hologram plugin needed.
- The board is never saved into your world: it can't duplicate, and removing the plugin leaves nothing behind.

Players don't need any of them: everything is in the menus. They're there as shortcuts.

Configuration
Every option in config.yml is commented, and new options are added automatically when you update, without touching your values. Messages live in lang/messages_en.yml and lang/messages_es.yml (MiniMessage format); copy one to add your own language. Item and mob names are shown in each player's own game language.
Anonymous usage statistics
JobBoard uses PluginAnalytics so I can see which features are used and fix errors quickly, often before anyone reports them. It sends server software and versions, player counts, how JobBoard's features are used, its config choices and its own errors and log lines.
- Never sent: player names, UUIDs, IP addresses, chat, inventories or world data. Players are an anonymous hash that is different on every server.
- Turn it off with enabled: false in plugins/PluginAnalytics/config.yml and restart.
- Exactly what is sent: pluginanalytics.dev/privacy

FAQ
Can players scam each other? No. The reward is in escrow before anyone works, and payment is automatic.
What happens if the server crashes? Jobs, escrow, mailboxes and stats are stored in SQLite and saved continuously.
Does it support MySQL or multiple servers? Not yet. Planned if there's demand.
Is it tested? Every release runs 59 automated tests covering posting, deliveries, hunts, refunds, expiry and the menus, and is started on real Paper 1.21.4, 1.21.11 and 26.3 servers.
