Submission for the Java Creators 2026 Map Jam hosted by Supersette, flcme, and Minecraft Realms. Participants had 72 hours (a weekend) to create a completed Minecraft map, with the three themes being Liminal, Overgrown, and Resource Management; participants were required to have elements that encompass 2/3 of the themes. This map chose Overgrown and Resource Management. The map itself is very buggy and definitely in an incomplete state. However, it is playable.
The map got 10th place!
Please do the following if you plan to play it...
1. Only play in a Singleplayer World
2. Set the time to night via "/time set night" upon starting the map
3. Run this command upon starting the map: "/setblock 1169 1 756 air"
4. Run "/stopsound @a" after obtaining the trident
5. Give yourself ~10 bread when reaching the tree via "/give @a bread 10"
6. Final boss and the sequence after is a bit janky; it works, but it's not optimal
A short ctm map where the goal is to manage your resources and navigate through an overgrown world that once harbored an ancient civilization. Mine specific ores and craft food using items and upgrades you obtain in the field. The story is centered around a golem that once watched over the people of the land, but poor resource management caused them to destroy themselves and allowed nature to reclaim the land. You, the player, are a scout looking for potential land to bring your people to. You are the villain.
