Lendill's Wayshrines

Lendill's wayshrines is a customizable teleportation mod that lets oyu teleport players, horses, mounted players, animals, dropped items and much more. Create your own travel networks using configurable groups and color-coded destinations, with support for cross-dimensional travel. Standalone version of the system made for the Serenal Project.

Gameplay:

How to obtain in survival:

1. Craft the wayshrine using quartz slab, quartz pillar and a soul campfire.
2. Build the ring out of amethyst blocks and blocks of raw gold. You can see the layout below.
3. In survival sneak + diamond in your hand are required. For a detailed configuration guide please see below.
4. Once configured please make sure to have 32 amethyst shards, for the first configuration, in your inventory. They will be consumed but can be gained back when deconstructing the amethyst clusters that spawn now.

How to obtain in creative:

The block is in vanillas functional blocks tab.

1. Once you place the wayshrine it will generate the ring around it.
2. Rightclick to configure.
3. Press save.
4. Rightclick to interact, sneak + rightclick to reconfigure.

Configuration guide:

Start the configuration process, by:

• Rightclick in creative or sneak + rightclick with diamond in hand in survival.

Configuration of a wayshrine consists of name, group(s), color code.

Name: The unique name of your wayshrine. Group: A wayshrine can have multiple groups, press manage and create, edit or adjust them. Assign your wayshrine to multiple groups. The teleportation logic is group based:

• Wayshrine A is in Group 1 and 3.

• Wayshrine B is in Group 2 and 3.

• Wayshrine C is in Group 1.

• From Wayshrine A you can teleport to Wayshrine B, since they have overlapping groups.

• From Wayshrine B you can teleport to wayshrine A.

• From Wayshrine C you can teleport to Wayshrine A because both are in the same group.

In summary: You can teleport to a wayshrine that is in at least one matching group.

Color code: Example:

• Wayshrine A with Group 1 & 3, Color code: Blue, Blue, Blue, Blue, Blue, Blue, Blue, Blue
• Wayshrine B with Group 1 & 2, Color code: Red, Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Red, Red, Red
• Wayshrine C with Group 3, Color code: Yellow, Red, Red, Yellow, Red, Red, Blue, Blue

When travelling from A to B you need to pick Group 3 (matching) and the color code of the destination. When teleportation starts the color code of the starting Wayshrine is saved to your travel book. You can interact with your travel book at a wayshrine. It only shows valid options at this wayshrine. So if known to you at Wayshrine 3 you can see the combination for Wayshrine 1.

A note on teleportation:

• In survival mode a diamond in your inventory is required - it will not be consumed.
• All entities inside the ring are teleported together. Only the player activating the teleport needs the diamond in the inventory in survival. Teleporting while riding is an option.
• You can activate the wayshrine and teleport everything inside the ring while standing on the edge of the ring. Especially useful for teleporting itemstacks or animals.

Permissions:

A config is available that lets you customise:

• if everyone or just op can configure a wayshrine
• if everyone or just op or with tp permission can teleport.

The mod offers the following permission:

• serenal_wayshrine.permission.configure_wayshrine
• teleport is related to minecrafts tp permission

Technical details:

Wayshrine data is stored in your world save data folder.
