ENGLISH
🏠 ChaosHomes
Personal homes with a menu, rank limits and a teleport countdown.
Set a home, give it a name, teleport back to it. Everything a player sees — menu titles, button names, lore, colours, messages and sounds — lives in editable language files (🇬🇧 EN / 🇩🇪 DE), not in code.
✨ Features
- 🛏️ Home menu — a configurable chest GUI with one bed per slot and a dye underneath it to delete that home
- 🛡️ Delete confirmation with a double-click guard, so a fast double click can never delete a home by accident
- 🎖️ Rank limits via permissions (
chaoshomes.limit.<number>) — the highest permission a player holds wins. Rank names are deliberately never used, so renaming a rank in LuckPerms can never silently take homes away - ✏️ Player-given home names —
/home rename <slot> <name>, then teleport with/home <name> - ⏳ Teleport countdown that breaks the moment the player moves, with a configurable tolerance distance
- ⚡ Optional chunk preload of the destination, so the jump itself is instant
- 🚀 Optional instant teleport with
chaoshomes.instant - 🚫 Blocked worlds —
/sethomeis refused wherever you do not want homes - 👮 Staff view
/homes <player> [number]with clickable teleport entries, works for offline players, and every jump is written to the log - 💾 Storage — YAML (default, hand-editable), SQLite or MySQL. No database driver to install
- 🔗 PlaceholderAPI (soft) —
%chaoshomes_set%,%chaoshomes_limit%,%chaoshomes_free%,%chaoshomes_slots%, plus%chaoshomes_name_<slot>%,%chaoshomes_world_<slot>%,%chaoshomes_set_<slot>% - 🌍 German and English, each with its own folder of commented files
- ⚙️ Folia, Spigot, Paper and Purpur — 1.21 up to and including 26.x, one single jar
📋 Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/home |
opens the menu |
/home <number|name> |
teleports to that home |
/home rename <number> [name] |
names that slot, or resets the name when you leave it off |
/sethome [number] |
sets a home; without a number the first free slot |
/homes <player> [number] |
staff view (chaoshomes.admin) |
/chaoshomes reload |
re-reads every file (chaoshomes.admin) |
🔑 Permissions
| Node | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
chaoshomes.use |
everyone | use /home and /sethome |
chaoshomes.admin |
op | reload, and see and jump to other players' homes |
chaoshomes.instant |
off | skips only the teleport countdown |
chaoshomes.limit.<number> |
— | how many homes a rank gets, e.g. chaoshomes.limit.5 |
⚙️ Configuration
- 📄
config.yml— language switch (EN/DE) and PlaceholderAPI hand-off for menus - 📁
plugins/ChaosHomes/lang/<language>/settings.yml— slots, limits, blocked worlds, countdown, names, storage, sounds, all messages - 🖼️
plugins/ChaosHomes/lang/<language>/menu-homes.yml— the home menu - 🗑️
plugins/ChaosHomes/lang/<language>/menu-confirm.yml— the delete confirmation
New options are merged into your files on reload — your own values are kept. A file with a YAML error is reported and left untouched instead of being overwritten with defaults.
📝 Notes
- 🆔 Homes hang on the player UUID, so they survive a name change and work for offline players
- 🔄 On the first start the plugin picks up an old
data/homes.ymlfrom the previous layout, and importsSkript/variables.csvonce if it sits next to the server jar - 💾 Every
/sethome, rename and delete is written straight to storage off the main thread, with an interval pass as a safety net for failed writes
GERMAN
🏠 ChaosHomes
Eigene Homes mit Menü, Ranggrenzen und Teleport-Countdown.
Home setzen, Namen geben, wieder hinspringen. Alles, was ein Spieler sieht — Menütitel, Knopfnamen, Lore, Farben, Meldungen und Klänge — liegt in editierbaren Sprachdateien (🇬🇧 EN / 🇩🇪 DE), nicht im Code.
✨ Funktionen
chaoshomes.instant - 🚫 Gesperrte Welten —
/sethomewird abgelehnt, wo du keine Homes willst - 👮 Team-Ansicht

⚙️ Konfiguration
- 📄
config.yml— Sprachwahl (EN/DE) und PlaceholderAPI-Weitergabe für Menüs - 📁
plugins/ChaosHomes/lang/<Sprache>/settings.yml— Slots, Grenzen, gesperrte Welten, Countdown, Namen, Speicher, Klänge, alle Meldungen - 🖼️
