Winter survival mod for Minecraft 1.21.11. Snow falls constantly, cold kills slowly, and warmth becomes something you have to earn.

Snow

Snow accumulates in up to 8 layers over time. Walking through it removes layers step by step. Vegetation gets destroyed underneath it. Water freezes in cold biomes. Vanilla snow layers are replaced by the layered system automatically.

Temperature

Your body has a realistic temperature around 36.6°C. It drops outdoors, especially at night, during snowfall, in cold biomes, in water, and standing on ice or snow. It rises near fire, lava, campfires, furnaces, inside sheltered spaces, and when you run or fight. At critical lows you take frostbite damage and movement slows down. Frost overlay appears on screen when freezing. HUD shows your body temperature in Celsius and ambient temperature in the top right corner.

Weather

Snow falls constantly by default, weather cycle is disabled. Blizzards occur randomly, turning into thunderstorms and dealing damage outside shelters. All of this can be toggled in the config file.

Gear and items

Fur hat, fur coat, felt boots - crafted from any wool and hay bales (same pattern as leather armor), worn as armor, provide passive insulation against cold Hot water - put a water bucket in a blast furnace, drink to warm up, returns empty bucket Ice cream - 2 snowballs + bowl (shapeless), eat to cool down, returns bowl

Every value is adjustable: snow accumulation speed, temperature rates, blizzard behavior, armor insulation, forced weather and more.
