exp(x) calculator using CORDIC algorithm
Minecraft Java map. Download on the author's site.
⬇ DownloadHello.
This my exp(x) calculator, using the CORDIC algorithm. It accepts a number x in signed Q6.32 format, this number x must be between -21 and 21, though. It computes exp(x) as well as exp(-x), to a high accuracy.
It is not terribly fast, it needs like 2 minutes and 40 seconds to do the full 38 iterations and show the final result on the screen after pressing the "Calculate" button. The CORDIC unit also has levers to control the amount of iterations you do, doing less iterations means less accuracy but also it's gonna finish faster.
I tested it quite thorougly, but it could always happen that I missed something. If you find any error with it, please tell me.
