Vanilla-Like Aliens

Time to go hero!

This datapack will add the Omnitrix from Ben 10 to your game alongside 11 original transformations that are based off various mobs from Minecraft. My goal with this pack was to make everything fit in the game as seemlessly as possible so everything is optimized, balanced and accessible for survival gameplay.

Finding the Omnitrix

When you create your world or install this datapack, a meteor will spawn after 5 minutes of gameplay and crash near a random player. If you go where the meteor landed you should find the Omnitrix on the ground and you can then pick it up by right-clicking it. If you missed the meteor, the crash site will emit smoke as long as the Omnitrix hasn't been picked up. The Omnitrix at the crash site cannot despawn on its own so don't worry about missing anything.

The datapack comes with an extensive built-in guide that should (hopefully) answer any questions that you have regarding the controls and the many features of the Omnitrix. You can access the guide at anytime from the pause menu.

📋 How to change the arm texture

If you wish, you can change the texture of the arms in the models for your own minecraft skin. To do so, open "Vanilla-Like Aliens (resourcepack)" and navigate in assets/vanilla_like_aliens/textures/item/skins. Replace "player_skin.png" with your own skin.png and you'll be good to go. Just make sure to rename your skin.png file to "player_skin.png". Also keep in mind that "slim" skins aren't supported and the models will only properly display if you're using a "wide" skin.

📋 How to install/uninstall

Download "Vanilla-Like Aliens (datapack)" and put the .zip file in the datapacks folder of the world you want to play in. Download "Vanilla-Like Aliens (resourcepack)" from modrinth and put the .zip file in your resourcepacks folder. Enable the resourcepack in the settings and you'll be ready to go! To uninstall, enter the command "/function vanilla_like_aliens:uninstall" and remove the datapack from the datapacks folder or your world.

Q: Where is the resourcepack?? I can't see the models and textures...
A: The resourcepack is located here on modrinth. It's a seperate download next to the download for the datapack. Click on "Versions" then click on the desired version and then click on "Required resourcepack".

Q: Can I use this datapack in my modpack or adventure map?
A: Of course you can! Just make sure to give proper credit :)

Q: Can you downgrade the datapack to another version?
A: Nuh uh

Q: Does this datapack work on servers?
A: Yes, but only one player can use the Omnitrix at a time.
