A fun virus mod that I made here are some of my tips to survive. 

Quickstart

• Your world begins normally. Use the opening couple of minutes to gather materials and craft a complete Blight Suit; all four pieces are needed to seal it.
• Craft a Containment Sprayer. When blight appears, use the sprayer on an infected block to clean nearby blocks, or hit a Blight Crawler with it to take the crawler out.
• Crawlers drop Sealed Blight Samples. Craft an Antiviral Containment Dose and use it to clear your exposure and remove poison.
• To try a crawler right away in Creative, find its spawn egg or use /summon com_the_spreading_blight_anx6rxju:blight_crawler.

Overview

The blight outbreak starts after roughly two minutes. After that, blight can spread over nearby soil, and Blight Crawlers can threaten players and other mobs. The outbreak grows more dangerous over time, so prepare a suit and containment tools before venturing out.

What It Adds

• Blight-Infested Soil: Blight spreads to suitable ground, including grass, dirt, podzol, and mycelium. These blocks cannot be mined or destroyed by explosions.
• Blight Crawler: A hostile, jumping creature that attacks players, animals, villagers, and golems. Crawlers can also appear as the outbreak progresses.
• Containment gear: A four-piece suit, a sprayer for cleaning blight and fighting crawlers, and an antiviral dose for treating exposure.

How To Use

Blight Suit

Wear the Blight Suit Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots together to seal the suit. A partial set does not count as sealed. The full set protects you from environmental exposure, including exposure from being outdoors or near contamination.

Exposure and treatment

During the outbreak, your action bar shows your exposure percentage and whether you are suited, indoors, outdoors, or in a contaminated zone. Exposure rises when you are unprotected outdoors, standing on blight, or near a crawler. At 30% exposure you become weak; at 65% you are also poisoned. Exposure falls when you are safe or wearing the complete suit.

Use an Antiviral Containment Dose to reset exposure and clear poison. It does not protect you from later exposure, so keep your suit on and avoid hazards.

Containment Sprayer

Use the sprayer on a block to clean blight in a nearby area—up to five blocks across and three blocks high. Cleaned blight becomes grass block. Hit a Blight Crawler with the sprayer to defeat it. Defeated Blight Crawlers drop Sealed Blight Samples, which are used to craft doses. Crawlers also inflict poison when they hit. A non-player mob hit by crawlers three times becomes a crawler; players are poisoned but do not transform.

Abilities And Mechanics

The outbreak spreads blight across suitable ground near players, and its spread radius can grow over time. A crawler can expose you even when you are indoors if it is close enough. The complete suit protects against environmental exposure, but crawler attacks can still poison you. Use the sprayer to clear affected ground and deal with crawlers directly.
